The "Up to the Minute" BP Livefeed Discussion Thread

Looks like one of the ROVs are being lowered again, and while descending it appears to be checking their rusty old oil leaking pipes. Anyhow, what the heck are all those bubbles rising in the water? Is that normal to see bubbles rising like that in the gulf waters? And what are all those bubbles?



Watch near the end around the 2:30 mark when they pan down. You wouldn't think that is coming from the pipe, since the pipe must be like a vacuum of negative pressure as a result of sucking the oil up from the top hat. ??

It definitely is different than anything we've seen, right? I have never seen this pipe before at all. I just want to understand what this is? what it is connected to? It has obviously been collecting oil for awhile as it is caked with "goo".

I've noticed them inspecting the pipe before, but I've never seen so many little bubbles rising to the surface when the ROVs would pan downwards. At the 2:30 mark in that video, it looks like it's snowing in an upwards direction. That can't be oxygen producing phytoplankton photosynthesis going on big time down there. Maybe it's METHANE. ?

My question is.... What is this pipe? What is it connected to. It was showing a depth earlier of like 2600 ft. & it is going all the way down. The depth that has been showing up to now for the top hat area is like 4928 & rising or dropping (whichever way you want to think of it) to 4931. This is most def. not the original pipe - that was blown away in the rig explosion. It also seems way too big & solid to be attached way down there to that flimsy top hat. I hope someone can understand what I am saying here.

That's the riser connected to that top hat. It looks pretty much the same to me, except for all that black goo that's been building up at each interconnect.

Alright, I guess I must have missed a lot in the 6 hrs. I wasn't on here. Sorry if I am being redundant.

I didn't know where would be a good spot to post this. Does anyone know what the earliest symptoms are from people who have become sick from this mess? The winds from Alex are pushing everything closer to where I live and my husband and i both have been getting very dizzy with headaches every day. Not sure if it's linked to the gulf spill or not, just trying to find answers. We absolutely will leave our home if we are being poisoned. If you can point me to some answers, please help!

I have already purchased gas masks for my family we live on the Gulf

Coast of Florida. Again I believe the millions of gallons of oil spewing into

the Gulf with toxic gases, compounds and chemical dispersants being added are way

more dangerous then we are being told. ^Y^

I agree. I'm near the coast of louisiana and we are now in the process of trying to find a rent house a little further north. Will be difficult trying to pay for a rent house and the house we own now, but we have to put our family's health first. Which gas masks did you get?

I think you're right about the lights but there's certainly allot of action now and I thought I saw some interesting movement on the top-hat from skandi-rov 1 but then suddently the skandi's turned black and then I saw the weird stuf on entrprise rov-2..... I want those skandi's back up now!!!

The best I could do right now is the Israeli Gas masks and anything

that Israel does for protection is the best usually. Look for gas masks

to go out of sight on price because most people have not figured it

out yet. Again this is only my opinion on what to do to protect my

family. There are not enough Scott Air Packs to go around with self

contained oxygen and breathing apparatus. ^Y^

They have some machine on enterprise 1 that looks to be trying to suck in some oil.. and q400 1 has some pretty little fishes on it

Also skandi 2 is back up.

Afternoon

Ive just been watching Skandi Neptune - ROV 2.

Just got two questions, what are the bits flotting around and scecond when these bits are hitting the oil flow they look like there setting on fire????

Im well aware that it may not be fire, but im just wondering if anybody else can see this, or are my eyes playing up again???
