I don't know if you've seen what the woman in this topic has to say about the clean up. Well worth a listen. They might appreciate your information posted there too.

They should hire local people to do the cleanup on the beaches. It would replace jobs and locals would go the extra mile to make sure its done right.

Of course it's for show; in my opinion there's really no point in any actual cleaning up until the leak is fixed (if ever), and BP knows it. It's just about keeping up appearances.

In this area only local people are hired for the actual clean up. If you have a local drivers license, you can apply.
BP is using corporate companies such as Flour & P2S among a few others that are managing the clean up & hiring, those corporations are based out of town.
