The people will have to take charge...

I have been reading these posts about the people being affected by this disaster begging for the criminals to clean up this mess. What about all the people being directly affected by this. People need to come together and clean up BP's mess or it will never get done and that's obvious by now. Every boat that cannot be out making money should be out there with Hay or something trying to clean this up. This is a serious health risk to allot of the people living near by and could easily come together and take over the clean up effort. Right now almost everybody in this country and the world would support them. People would probably start coming from all over the world to help if the numbers where large enough to offset the BP power grab. After watching the videos about dolphins crying and the cover-up going on it's obvious to me that they don't care so they should not control anything about it and people need to let go of their fears and say enough is enough let's do something about this issue. If the people living in the areas directly affected don't stand up for themselves then nobody will stand up at all. We will continue to hear the same crying and pleading for BP and the federal government to do something which won't happen because they all are involved somehow.

Any that's my theory on change for this disaster. The people have everything to loose and nothing to gain if they sit there and do nothing.

Disclaimer: I don't in any way mean violence should be used by anybody at all because it is unnecessary and counter productive. Numbers is the key and this disaster can bring them. All the violence will come from the other side like usual.

What I mean is get up and go clean up some oil and get smaller companies together that can contribute with the people.

when the oilspill eventually gets to the beaches in my area, I will definately be at the front line. At the very least i will help the beach cleanup efforts.

Also, i know alot of kids my age who love the beach so much.

there will be many of us trying to help out here at least.

I am sure that there would be many who would love nothing more than to offer their services in any way possible. If it were near me, I would love to volenteer my time. Ban together people. This is your world.

People have been trying to help, but BP has been doing a good job of keeping them away.

I think people in Florida will be allowed to clean up, but still not the people in the Gulf because they are trying to kill it.

Yeah. The people will.

There's been at least one case, I forget where, where the local government basically did what they needed to do even when they were ordered not to by the feds. There was a discussion on it on ATS. And I believe more local governments are recognizing this and doing the same.

Does anyone else remember about a month back nearer to the beginning of this mess where they were saying they did not want or need people coming down there to help. It was on a website that also listed what you could do to help, which in my opinion at the time wasn't much.
