Actually, his wife is currently divorcing him after 40 years of marriage. I'd say this may be the reason behind it.

Why aren't you running for the top office in the country? Seems like you're the only person here that can keep it in his pants. Yes, I fooled around on my first wife. Give me a break though. It was during the Reagan Administration.

Sounds to me like that's working itself out - i.e. she's probably leaving him.

My problem with this is the repeated attempts to engage sexually. The first time she brushed him off (implying she ONLY does massage - not Escort or other extra's), that should have been the end of it. Here were the clues (from the police report PDF that is linked earlier in this thread):

1. Her setting-up in the sitting room - instead of the bedroom that he had suggested. Duh!
   
2. Her complaining about him dimming the light's down.
   
3. She goes into the "health requirement's" converstaion.
   
4. She says "NO" to the bedroom thing - again!

Well, I thought about running for office at one time.

Unfortunately, and although I've really cleaned up my act in the last 20 years, I still have this nagging desire to completely dismantle the central government, guillotine all Washington incumbents, and forcibly sterilize the lower class... Which probably wouldn't work as a campaign platform.

I'd be willing to entertain that platform there, Doc! Do it. Run for office. I'd vote for that agenda!

By the by, the woman I was thinking of was Cathy O'Brien.

And I wholeheartedly believe that the scenarios presented in Eyes Wide Shut are pretty accurate. I've seen some weird-ass stuff and it wasn't a far throw to what was going on in that movie.

See, we all have some secrets and no so secret in our closet in some category or other.

I have been marry for 29 years, I love my husband with some days of hate but still together, even when 20 years ago we were separated for 18 months and didn't know what each did to each other.

But now I can not imagine life without him.

Life is such full of surprises. . .
I always believe AlGore was the Manchurian candidate I guess it was just a conspiracy with such clean track record at the time

I place zero credibility on someone who comes forward three years later and reports something. She has the "clothes" which strikes me as an attempt at another "blue dress" that Monica had.

The gal is also 50 years old. I'm sorry, but if someone with the public presence of Gore is looking for a bit of action from his massage therapist, he's going to look for someone a little younger than some middle aged woman.

I think this is an attention and/or money starved person.

I understand the hesitation to believe people in this day and age of false accusations, et. al. in this world, however, if you read the transcript that ProfEmeritus kindly provided the link to, it really does not ring false to me. She repeatedly talks about how she was scared to death and didn't think she would be believed (and indeed the police/ law enforcement up there certainly didn't know what to do at first, which made things bog down)... she has lost friendships, is not interested in money, and was even told by a friend "not to pursue it, for the cause of Global Warming" !!!!! Are you kidding me???????

At any rate, not every single woman who comes forward is a liar. It is really sad that because of the amount of false accusations that are constant in this world, the ones who are sincere are never believed anymore. They are automatically called liars and vilified.
And her age should work for her, in my mind. She was even shocked that he acted that way, because of her age, she keeps referring to herself throughout the police transcript as a "Grandma". I hope she can withstand the feeding frenzy.

I am sure this is why the Gore's separated after 40 years of marriage. This was filed in January 2009.

I agree dolphinfan that a man that inner circles claim he was groom since birth to become a president could have some mental problems, a restricted young life a marriage probably by conveniences and then made to live in austerity.

Things like that may happen, but this woman's neighbors describe her as a very "honest" and "spiritual" person. She was informed by the hotel management the guest was Al Gore. She probably would not have anticipated sinister behavior from him.

Well, Doc, I commend you for being faithful to your wife. Actually, that IS what is expected when people get married, but you were right to wait until you were really ready to take the vows seriously.
