that article is from May and mentions a hole 5 foot diameter....? That's a hole right, separate from the gush from the riser pipe ? I've not heard of this hole , have we any links to that and some idea of location from main leak? That hole would be bigger by now.....

Danger of Tsunamis From Methane?

I don't know if I'd risk wanting to hang around down there to see how all this turns out. I wonder if anyone down there has left the area yet out of concern for their safety, their life. Or are most folks thinking everything is getting better down there now?

After seeing all that gas seeping up out of the ground last night, I think I'd start packing my bags this morning and head north. Images of Katrina are coming back to me and how all them people just hung out down there thinking everything is going to be just fine. NOT! That's going to become one hell of an impossible evacuation if suddenly everyone needs to leave and there's a hurricane hanging over their heads too.

Really, I'd get the heck out of there, all along the coast, Florida too. Why risk it, and/or wait until the last minute.
