Hi,

I apologize in advance if there is a thread like this already. I am curious whether you know any good horror/thriller movie titles?

Thanks!

REC. A truly scary film.
And a great addition to the relatively tired Zombie genre.

Switchblade Romance
Another great film with an excellent twist.

Martyrys A very odd and very existential movie which is more complex than meets the eye.

Inside One of the goriest movies in a long time but also pretty jumpy too.... not for the faint of heart.

All these movies are Foreign language movies... 3 being French and 1 Spanish.... Have to say, the new-wave French horror is some of the best stuff since the days of the Good J-horror...

Hollywood just doesn't (or very rarely) make good horror movies any more.

Hopefully you enjoy foreign movies and if you do.... you should love these.

Lemme know what you think.

One of the best I've seen in the psychological horror category is Jacob's Ladder.

For straight-ahead horror, a real dandy is Pet Sematary.

One of the best creature features ever is the remake of The Thing.

I thought - Drag Me To Hell, was pretty good..,
At least it was one of the best ''NEWEST'' horror movies ive seen despite the usual Evil Dead type of jokes by the same director.

The original, 1968 version of Night of the Living Dead is probably my all time favorite.

Full movie on YouTube:

Both the original and the remake of "Dawn of the Dead" are good, as well.

Besides that, I just like the usual fare: The "Nightmare on Elm St." series, the "Hellraiser" series, the "Scream" series, the original "Texas Chainsaw Massacre," etc.

If you don't mind silent movies, Nosferatu is great. There's a couple of remakes of it, which aren't bad, but the original is still the best.

Hope this helps.

Ahhhh...

There are so many. I'm partial to Zombie flicks of all types and budgets.

Anyhoo. What types are you interested in? Paranormal, Creatures, Axe swinging maniacs or Science run amuck?

Will post some links once I know what you're after.

Hm, I'd say definitely paranormal and science not so much creatures unless we don't know what they are (Blair Witch Project-type).

This movie creeped me out!

Mirrors

It could be because my room is full of them and it was late...IDK, but I don't look at them the same anymore.

See no Evil is pretty scary. The guy likes to remove an eye while the victim is still alive. Thus the title, "See No Evil.

Sure don't want to show up at a hotel like this. :shk:
