It's New York...She should have heckled back. She would fit in just fine.

But as far as whether it's wrong or not, I guess that's a matter of interpretation.

It is wrong to heckle anyone. I don't know if it is against the law. The queen is trying to be a positive force on this planet. Alot of people believe in this crazy "New World Order" theory so maybe that was they heckled her. Some people also seem to believe that she is some kind of alien in human form. I would say heckling is very rude especially when it is towards nobility and one of the greatest women of modern times.

Americans do not care for royalty. That's probably the biggest reason we exist is because of the Monarchy in England that doomed most of the citizens (or in their day, peasants) to be second class while simply being born to the right circumstances gave you a life of luxury.

The royal family is an outdated disgrace that glorifies an oppressive time and way of life.

Damn the Queen.

Isn't she just a big waste of money?

What the heck do you need a Queen for? LOL

I highly disagree with the above poster's defense of the queen. It doesnt matter if you believe in the NWO, she is FILTHY rich for absolutely no reason and many people think that is wrong as her money is stolen(tax money). A lot of people, including myself, dislikes what she stands for, royalty by birth. She feels entitled to her status and in my opinion it makes her elitist trash. I would heckle her too.

edit- what did she do to make herself great? Dont tell me the ways she has spent other peoples money, because that is not impressive at all. Why is rude to insult nobility? What the heck makes them noble?

Americans do not care for royalty.

Be careful when projecting your personal views on other Americans you might find that you're wrong.

Exactly, you should edit your post to say "some Americans" or " a few Americans"

!

You might find that there was never a class of nobles in America either. We did quite a bit to seperate ourselves from a monarchy.

Just because a few people idolize the brutal ways of old does not mean that she should be respected.

This thread exists because of Americans insulting "Royalty".

Obviously not all Americans think like this, a lot of them probably don't comprehend it. But we still have morons that act like putting a picture of Hitler up is a good thing.

I didn't say that.

Edit to add: The only thing I was commenting on was that I despise it when people assume others feel the way they feel about something. I made no judgment either way on whether the queen should be respected or not.

That doesn't even make sense. Why would you project your views on any other person?

I'd say on the contrary.. Americans LOVE royalty, we are jealous we don't have a Royal family of our own. Which is why we obsess over European Royals.

Do I think it's wrong to heckle the Queen? No. Nice? Depends on what was said. The Queen has protesters everywhere, even in Britain, so I doubt she was surprised.

Americans pine for Royalty. That's why they clamour after celebrities and anoint their politicians. Camelot is a fine example.

So you don't heckle the Queen. Personally, I appreciate the Royals being part of the Canadian fabric...even as I drive the King's Highway.

You are one strange fellow. Sorry, but I really have a hard time following you on any issue. I'm sure this will be deleted. Sobeit.

I agree with a previous poster in that the queen might deserve to get heckled depending on what she says. If anybody, whether they be royalty or trailer park trash, makes a speech in public, they should expect to be criticized if they are stating views some people may disagree with. One method people use to express dissatisfaction with a speaker's views is heckling.

I would also like to add that the queen is not as great a person as people make her out to be. While the royals do plenty of charity work, that is what they are supposed to do because they are royals. It is easy to be a do gooder if you were born with a large fortune and will never have to work a day in your life.

If the Royals were really charitable, Buckingham Palace as well as all the other Royal properties all over the world would be converted into housing for the poor. All the money they spend hosting banquets for the elite should be used to feed the poor.

The Queen is a figurehead who happens to be a titular inheritor of billions.
Screw her and the White Horses and Carriage that brought her.
Screw royalty. Screw Billionaires. Screw the BS surrounding them. We don't need them. I don't want them.
They are the genuine parasitic life-form which so many adore.
Screw them too.
Anyone who supports this pomp laden charade is deserving to go down with her and rest of her fawning admirers.

Who obsessed over royals? Morbidly obese drop-outs with a dozen bastard children with no money for decent clothing or food but plenty for fully loaded luxury cable television and coffee tables plastered with back issues of Star?

Any interest whatsoever in fame or celebrity is indicative of a mental disorder.

Dump the queen in the same mass grave as J-Lo and Nancy Pelosi then landscape the fill fertilized with the ground remains of anyone who has ever asked "did you see the Oscars last night?"

Well let me say this first. NY isn't a great representative of the U.S. in general. It is a good representative for big cities in the U.S. but not us as a whole.

Secondly, I don't like the queen. I don't like most people, especially those who get paid because of their birthright. Bring her to Los Angeles, the paparazzi would love to see her, if they can get away from Tiger Woods long enough.

Actually most people I know don't care about celeberities. It's completely brought out by the corporate aspect of life. What you see on TV is awe-shockingly not real.

Again, always exceptions. But little girls swayed by pop music and Teen magazine hardly represent a large number of people..

And isn't that Canada's only high way? I imagine you'd be glad to have it.
