Biden Promises Kenya 'Money to Flow' if Pro-Abort Constitution Passes

www.lifesitenews.com

NAIROBI, Kenya, June 18, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) - U.S. Vice President Joe Biden travelled to Kenya to personally urge the country to pass a new constitution that would legalize abortion - and to assure Kenyans that such a change would "allow money to flow" from foreign aid treasuries. At the same time, a federal probe is attempting to determine whether the Obama Administration is violating federal law by using taxpayer money to lobby for the constitution, deeply controversial in Kenya in large part because of its abortion provisions."We are hopeful, Barack Obama is hopeful, I am hopeful th

So when does it become legal for the administration to fund the constitutional changes of other governments regarding pro or anti abortion? I thought that this was illegal according to the Siljander Amendment, which states,” No foreign assistance funds may be used to lobby for or against abortion.” www.usaid.gov...
Source: FY 2006 Appropriations Act, Title II, "Child Survival and Health Programs Fund" and/or Title V, Section 518. Then there I the Biden amendment which states,” No foreign assistance funds may be used to pay for any biomedical research which relates, in whole or in part, to methods of, or the performance of, abortions or involuntary sterilization as a means of family planning. Sources: Section 104(f) of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, as amended; Annual Foreign Operations Appropriations Acts.
And the Helms Amendment, which states, “No foreign assistance funds may be used to pay for the performance of abortion as a method of family planning or to motivate or coerce any person to practice abortions.”
And why isn’t the MSM covering this outrageous, and flagrant violation?

From a Kenyan News agency,
www.standardmedia.co.ke...
Former President Moi has accused the US of interfering with constitution making.
Citing the recent visit by US Vice-President Joe Biden, Moi wondered why the US is pushing for reforms through a ‘faulty’ Proposed Constitution. He said the US constitution does not allow abortion, adding foreigners should not impose on Kenyans what is not right.
"They are forcing everything bad on us. Why can’t they change theirs," he posed. Addressing a rally at Kabarnet High School, Moi said Kenyans should not allow foreigners to decide for them what is good or bad.

Gee, I guess the Kenyan Newspaper is lying too.

I'm wondering why there isn't more response to this thread than there's been? My apologies. There's nothing wrong going on here that's why there's no reactions.

The VPOTUS urging a foriegn nation to amend their constitution in exchange for US $!

Sounds like bribery, blackmail and extortion rolled up into one. "Do as I say or your people will suffer!"

Why should the Kenyans modify their constitution to seek favor from the US? Shouldn't the US give funding to help the suffering in Kenya with having to persuade them to legalize abortion?

Why on Earth would one government want to blackmail another government into submission is beyond what words can describe. If we have the low morals to do this, then we have the morals to do anything else, however atrocious it may be.

Yeah, the "low morals" of lessening the suffering of children. Are you serious?

I'm not saying whether it's right or wrong, but I am saying that in the larger scheme of things that our government does, this is nothing. and it stands to benefit the Kenyan people in multiple ways.

I call this BS logic! Why don't give money to educate the people from that country? Why don't offer money to make their live better? Everybody knows that education and health is the solution for such problems. Just abortion won't fix anything.

Planned parenthood and similar organizations do a great deal to educate women on sexual reproductive health and how to prevent unwanted pregnancy. I can't think of any other publicly available service that does educate women. Certainly a similar health education and birth control educational program will be put in place in Kenya to prevent women from resorting to abortion.

Well I do not know. I'd like to see the ratio of people they lecture who get abortion. I'm pretty sure its high.

I just don't see the logic of abortion if it is not rape or incense. Then its just to get rid of an inconvenience. Which to be frank, is retarded.

Yeah I know. So is war...retarded, collateral damage accepted, but what is a little death when so much freedom is at stake?

Uh, no. You literally sound like an SS soldier. What's a little more death? Do you have any idea how retarded that sounds?

The utmost respect should be given to life and freedom. No exception. Just because some retard commits genocide and war does not give another the right to do that.

What the hell kind of a statement is that?

So if all the world was at war, it would give you the right to kill a bully annoying you?

NO!

You make humanity look horrible.
