Soldiers and Airmen from the Idaho National Guard lineup outside Wildwood Correctional Facility in Kenai, Alaska, for a natural disaster training exercise during the Alaska National Guard’s Vigilant Guard 2010, April 29. The Soldiers were at Wildwood to simulate assisting local authorities transfer prisoners to the correctional facility due to any type of emergency. Alaska NG VG-2010 is an exercise sponsored by the National Guard Bureau that allows Joint Force Headquarters, Joint Task Forces and various field units to improve command and control and to exercise operational relationships with local, state, regional and federal partners.

In a previous story we noted that Reports Surfacing of Multi-State National Guard Mobilizations.

Further information made available after our report, much of which was published in the comment section by contributors who scoured the web for more information on the subject, suggests that the report was true and that national guard units had indeed been called up for training and possible deployment for domestic emergencies.

With the BP oil leak heating up (literally), there is a distinct possibility of noxious fumes and toxic hurricanes hitting our coasts over the coming months. Because there is minimal research on the subject available to the public, it is difficult to establish what is or is not a threat. Nonetheless, we advise those of our readers on or near the coast to remain aware of any developments regarding the possibility of emergencies or evacuations in their areas.

For those who may think we are overreacting to the possibility that the federal government would respond to an emergency, specifically mandatory evacuations on the gulf coast with the use of National Guard troops, we direct you to the article below, brought to our attention by Worldwide Wake Up Now and originally published at Public Intelligence.

In the event of a mass evacuation event, be it on the Gulf coast or as a result of an earthquake, chemical attack, biological attack, or other national emergency, we fully expect National Guard troops to be deployed. There will be mass chaos, violence, rioting, and looting, and local law enforcement simply will not have the capability to handle such a disaster.

There is no doubt that they are building up to a domestic deployment.
The questions are for what, when, and where.

Is the Government planing something so bad that we will revolt?

What about the 2010 Elections?

More Voter Fraud?

What ever the plan is we need to get prepared and do it soon!

I had seen this at another site. Amazing coincidences going on with Haliburton blowing the cement job on the Deepwater horizon, acquiring Boots and Coots, also getting the contract to build detention centers across the US. Now this.
Note the name, on 9/11 they were running drills called Vigilant Guardian.
Stacks of plastic coffins in Georgia, thousands of white vans sitting on a tarmac in Florida, the selling off of BP stock by GS and Tony Hayward - my god it goes on forever.
For the first time since I;ve lived here I saw a VTOL Osprey fly low overhead. I think a perfect @#$%storm is coming and they have been planning it all along. I pity the national guardsmen, they are expendable tools in their game too just like the rest of us.

Hmmm this type of training could definitely be used in a nefarious manner. Something for us to keep an eye on for sure. I'm wondering what perceived lessons they learned after Katrina and how they wish to apply them. So many questions...I just hope we have time to find answers.

I am a bit surprised that this thread only has a few comments on it.

I know that nearly everyone here on ATS is watching the oil spill, but we need to keep our heads on a swivel. This is the perfect scenario to deploy troops to an area and the public think nothing of it.

Allow me to throw a 'worst-case scenario' out there... something that's been dancing around in my head the last few days, but something I find HIGHLY unlikely. At least for the time being.

Mass evacuation of the Gulf Coast does two very important things. One, it displaces a large number of armed people who are reluctant to blindly follow orders given by a President they do not trust. With time, ways of life and independent (or redneck, as we're tagged) thinking will fall away, being replaced by more 'open-mindedness'.
Two, it silences the largest block of green energy critics, making it easier for Cap and Trade to be passed.

Killing two birds with one massive, oil-covered, stone.

Like I said before, unlikely... yes. But impossible... absolutely not.
