Sallie Mae student loans?

I was just informed that student loan grace periods are 6 months over the course of the lifetime of the loan - I was of the impression that this grace period extended 6 months from any time that I attended school at least half-time? Can anyone help me straighten this out for me? It's put me in a bind.

Sallie Mae is suing me cause I cannot pay. All I can muster is 20$ a month my moms chips in. I just a a beautiful baby boy and am living with no income. It is really hard just to make ends meet and they are hounding me. I say get a loan from somewhere else. They threaten and harass my mom and me saying I refuse to pay 1800$ at one time. I made 1800 last year . Anyone could help me get a job?

I have to agree that if at all possible avoid Sallie Mae like the plague.

I know of too many people that have financed through them and they are terrible to work with.
