Again, emphasizing that this is an unconfirmed report - which I'm posting because of its importance if it's true - Stewart Swerdlow's "Illuminati News" for today:

June 16, 2010
Gulf Disaster To Come

An unconfirmed report recently revealed that a giant bubble of toxic gas and oil is forming over a 20 mile long fracture on the sea floor of the Gulf of Mexico. When this explodes, in a matter of a few weeks or months, a HUGE tsunami will form and rush over all of he coasts around the Gulf. The waves could be hundreds, if not thousands of feet high.

In addition, the gas bubble will drift over land killing millions in its path, which, depending on the wind direction, could conceivably go along the eastern US coast up to Maine and Atlantic Canada.

Again, this in unconfirmed, but needs to be examined carefully and those in endangered regions should take quick action. Florida, with its sea level land, would be particularly in danger.

I will post more as I learn more.

I was wondering about the unspoken dangers of these gases, and possible sea floor collapse. I know this is not a confirmed report, but none of us has the complete picture.

A few days ago everyone was talking batholith, I thought that possible earthquake, plus magma, plus gas. Its bad anyway you look at it.

Your a psychic? Couldn't you give us a hint at "what will happen", when the "An unconfirmed report recently revealed that a giant bubble of toxic gas and oil is forming over a 20 mile long fracture on the sea floor of the Gulf of Mexico."

Where so far have there been reports of a 20 mile fracture on the ocean floor / seabed ??

How the heck would they know that a huge bubble of toxic gasses is forming under the earth's surface way out in the ocean?

This, I believe, is fearmongering.

Stewart uses the singular "report," and he doesn't say who the source is. He may not tell us who the source is. I am under the impression that he has inside sources for his information and is not at liberty to reveal them.

He also comments on reports that are in the mainstream media, as well, but doesn't cite them specifically. So, he's not a journalist.

From the source.
The waves could be hundreds, if not thousands of feet high.

In addition, the gas bubble will drift over land killing millions in its path,
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think it is fair to say that a thousand foot wave would kill alot more then millions in its path.
Wouldn't a thousand foot wave wipe out North America??

Think how big the tsunami was in comparison.

I am not really sure what I think about this article but wanted to point out what I see as inaccurate.
I do hope they get this mess figured out soon.

Yeah.

We are talking about an entire region full of people who are literally on edge and scared. Their way of life and assets are in jeopardy and they don't need scary tales making it worse.

If people have authentic, substantiated information then they need to come forward otherwise it's all just spreading fear, uncertainty and doubt.

I think the President's jacked up speech made this BS situation much more volatile. Before last night we already felt adrift in a sea of uncertainty. Now it feels we are adrift in a sea of uncertainty without a competent captain.

OK here is what I understand so far:

A considerable part of what is leaking out of the ocean floor is methane. The water is cold and under high pressure so instead of coming to the surface, the methane combines with water to form a methane hydrate. The hydrate sinks to the bottom I believe.

THE $64,000 QUESTION IS:

How stable is it? The heat is transferred to the water warming it. Under what conditions does the hydrate become unstable? Under cold and high pressure it is stable. When is it unstable? If is requires a lot of heat, this is just another Chicken Little Thread.
It is possible that it is quite stable and can later be mined off the ocean floor.
It is also possible that this is what's scaring the pants off the some of the BP,FEMA, etc people involved.

I live 20 miles from the west coast of Florida at an altitude of 23 feet, so this is

possibly the most important thread yet for me on ATS

I am looking into Methane Hydrate chemistry to see if I can find some answers. I won't let it rest til I know. Bug out time may be here for me..

take 20 mins out and listen to the vids- most is explained in the first one, he explains it there and also described who is sources are. He believes what he's saying and you can hear the edge and the intensity in his voice- he sort of sounds a bit freaked out but in an under-control way

PS) someone asked couldn't I look at the cards....I don't ever pull cards for world events, and wouldn't in something as serious as this. My own subjectivity might effect what I see plus it's not an exact science like I always tell people I read for. Neither myself nor any tool are an all seeing eye..mostly I just deal with common sense guidance but never say the future is written in stone so I'm not going there.......

Stewart has said other things about Florida. His website does not have its own search function, so to search his site one can pull up any search engine and type the following search terms:

Hoagland? I've been working toward getting out of
Florida for some time. This tsunami idea may put me in more of an emergency mode.

It turns out I was assuming a different scenario than Hoagland was reporting on. If you remember BP tried to stop the leak by setting a huge dome over the well. It didn't work because it became clogged with Methane Hydrate(or Clathrate). Instead of adding heating they scrapped the idea. This shows me that a significant amount of the methane isn't reaching the surface quickly. It turns out that Methane Clathrate is lighter than water so it eventually rises to the surface unless its trapped inside the mud at the bottom of the ocean. For this reason Methane Hydrate that forms in the Gulf will only be a problem if accumulates as it rises and suddenly expands all at once.

Hoagland is talking about a totally different idea. As gas leaks out of the reservoir, it rises through the mud until it reaches the cold floor of the ocean there is combines with water to form hydrates. This may form a seal which builds up over time. The rest of the gas would build up beneath under high pressure. Leaks could form causing oil/gas/mud geysers on the ocean floor. A bulge could build up over time. The danger is a catastrophic breakdown allowing the gas trapped under the sea floor to exit in a short time. How short a time and how much gas would determine the threat. Would there be one big wave or a series of smaller ones?
