Omit BP threads

i just tried to post this thread and saw that there is already a thread dedicated to the subject, but the thread is closed with just the added information of the new Deepwater disaster. i would like to know if there is a way to omit the BP threads myself or if this could be an added feature?

upon refreshing the recent posts page, i see almost 1/3 are BP threads.

now i am concerned. but sometimes i would rather not have those threads in there.

The "Omit Swine Flu" is outdated. Time to replace with "Omit Deepwater Disaster"

Yes!! Please for the love of God get an Omit DeepWater Disaster link. It's beyond ridiculous.
