Its a shame because I LOVE debating with people who disgree with me if they know how. At the very least you learn the enemies position at best you learn something new and change your opinion. Unfortuntly both society and politics has devolved into soundbites and mudslinging. Now-a-days neither washington or lincoln could get elected, they belived in discussing issues.

Me: Theres a difference between being a drug addict and someone who became addicted to medication that was legally perscribed. I wouldnt except a liberal to understand such things though.

Me: I disagree with some points of view regarding Big Business that most conservatives hold but regardless, this is not a logical comparison. You cant make a logical parallel between treatment of Big Business (tax breaks etc) and putting illegal drug users in jail. And it is illegal.

Me: Um...do you really and truly think that only the conservatives and/or republicans are the ones moving jobs to India? If so, youre deluded.

Its contrary to our religion and our beliefs and its seen as sort of an ESCALATION of forcing homosexuality down our throats. Christians have "drawn the line in the sand" so to speak about this lately. But for the heck of it, Ill give this one to you.

Me: I dont have enough information to talk about this one. I dont know anything about health care to Iraqis. On the healthcare to USA is socialism side, I happen to agree with government provided healthcare but I think its impossible in a country this size without DRAMATIC economic restructure (catastrophe). Sure it works great in dinky countries like Canada with a population the size of one of our states, or in similarly sized Australia etc, but in a country of 300 million...I just think its not possible. Me: Global warming is real science and conservatives who say otherwise are wrong (atleast in my opinion). I dont hear any republicans saying tabacco isnt linked to cancer. In fact I hear conservatives telling people its not their right to smoke in an enclosed space and force me to breath their smoky air. There is no "missing link". This would be the connection youre looking for between humans as we are now, and the cavemen that are in your evolution. Thats because there ISNT ONE. Me: The Constitution was written by deeply religious men and is VERY VERY CLEAR in its support of God and the principles contained in the Bible. Homosexual marriage is not the spirit of what marriage is. Its a union between a man and woman. Again we're back to things like Morality, Principles and God. Things most liberals detest. 13-4 me.

Me: I dont have enough information but if its regarding the presidential election (youre probably talking about Florida) it is a Federal issue not a state issue. Otherwise extreme liberal states who knew a republican was likely to win could change laws midstream to favor the evil...er I mean Democratic candidates. Draw

Me: I think there was plenty of interest by the media about Bush's coc aine and drinking problems in the 80's. Case Dismissed. Interest though how Clinton admitting to smoking weed was "cool" but Bush's drinking and coc aine (and rampant partying) was the exact opposite..hm i wonder why? Me: I agree to a point. But even somebody like you can see the enormous complexities of something like this. China can literally destory the whole world. They nuke us, we nuke them, world over. This is one of the thousands of reasons that we deal with them differently. Vietnam, I can only offer this: We trade with the DPRK to help the millions of economically ravaged people?
