Quake in CA

Felt it here in Los Angeles while responding to an email from a friend. My computer clock said 9:29 pm. It was a rolling quake. Gave me the sensation of feeling dizzy. I googled it and LA Now said it was a 5.9. As far as quakes go, it was not scary. I'll take a rolling quake over a thrust quake any day.

28 aftershocks in about 20 minutes. Range 2.2-4.1..... CHP is responding to horses running around on highway 8 and large boulders in the middle of the road. 6feet tall

I think every quake is 'felt' everywhere?

It may not me perceptible to us but they all run across most of the globe if I am not mistaken.

Saw the quake occur during the Padres game tonight. Harkened me back the 1989 World Series...that was kinda surreal.

There's already a thread one minute older than this one! Jeez you guys are on it.

I didn't feel it. But I live in the mountains out in the SGV. Duarte to be exact. The mountains don't really let us feel the EQs. My sister felt a really minor shaking. I didn't notice anything.

How bad was the shaking at the game? Was there any sort of damage or panic or was it a light roll?

I don't know about that.

However, my wife reported smaller quakes down there over the weekend, now leading up to this one. I hope that was the big one and there are no more biggies.

Is anyone in Ocotillo or knows anyone there? The quakes look to be directly centered on the small little town, just north of the Mexican border.

We are hearing reports from the cities that felt it but they were quite a ways off from the reported epicenter.

The EarthQuake wouldn't be the last one...sorry to (say/type). There will be more, alot more. And not just in U.S... and also in other parts of the world, aswell. I am sure. The Earth v's The Illuminati? Who will win...

Did anyone else notice that Twitter was down an hour before and after the EQ? I wasn't able to get any updates nor send any.

Well the cameras shook pretty bad obviously, the players on the field had that WTF look on their faces, but all in all there was no major bedlam.
