They've now determined that theres massive amounts of Dihydrogen Monoxide floating in the gulf of Mexico in addition to the oil! Some estimates say that the amount present makes the oil itself pale in comparison!

This is it folks! Game over! The End!

In case you don't know about Dihydrogen Monoxide, I urge you to check this out:

www.dhmo.org...

We're all doomed!

That was an interesting read, but do you have a link for an article that says this chemical is in the gulf?

-From Your Source-

"Should I be concerned about Dihydrogen Monoxide?

Yes, you should be concerned about DHMO! Although the U.S. Government and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) do not classify Dihydrogen Monoxide as a toxic or carcinogenic substance (as it does with better known chemicals such as hydrochloric acid and benzene), DHMO is a constituent of many known toxic substances, diseases and disease-causing agents, environmental hazards and can even be lethal to humans in quantities as small as a thimbleful. "

Hmm.

not much to add to this .

I will go count my blessings now.

That was a devilish trick you tried to play on ATS members.

It was a good example of fear mongering.

Having owned and operated a public water and sewer system I was required to be certified by the federal government to operate the facilities.

Thankfully, chemistry was a big part of the training course. So, I knew what you were saying was not a real worry but other people may not know.

Not sure if what you did warrants being called a troll but I'm going to think that is what you are until you prove otherwise.

If that's how you roll then roll on out of the ATS door and don't come back.

I hope your Loch Ness Monster thread isn't a hoax too !

Cos I've spent ages tonight looking at that damn Loch on flashearth, trying to find more of your weird creatures !

Unfortunately there are many people that believe that "dihydrogen monooxide" isn't H20, and in that respect, this thread could certainly be something the OP believes in... It is *so* sad...

Oh my!
Did people really get suckered with this Dihydrogen Monoxide?
This why we should understand

"Education pays, but common Sense Pays more"

I am not affected by Dihydrogen Monoxide at all, in fact i drink it a lot every day, i apply it on my skin, my skin oozes the liquid form of Dihydrogen Monoxide, In solid form, i use it with my intoxicating drinks....still i have not mutated....i am blessed!!

Anybody with a little background in chemistry would know the -ide suffix in oxide makes 'mono' redundant, so actually Dihydrogen Monoxide is a bit like saying you have a red red wagon.

A few facts about Dihydrogen Monoxide:

It is added to many pesticides.

It has been found in high concentrations in cancer patients.

It eventually dissolves almost anything it comes into contact with.

It has been known to cause serious burns when in a gaseous state.

It was discovered in J.F.K.s body and at ground zero at 9/11.

Wake up people, this stuff is serious.
