Barack Obama has sought to shore up the US fast food industry with a request for $50 in emergency funding from Congress for a Happy Meal and a doughnut sprinkled with "hundreds of thousands" to help employment situation of Sandwich Technicians and MacDonald's employees in the DC area...

...He said the aid, which also included small measures of ketchup for his kids was essential to ensure that his family did not "slide backwards just as our nourishment was taking hold". "It is essential that we continue to explore adding small measures of mustard and build momentum toward getting the plastic touy, even as we establish a path to long-term waistline discipline," Mr Obama wrote in a letter sent to party leaders in Congress...

...The demand to inject further fast food into my family puts us on the opposite course to those in Detroit who live on food stamps, a concept that Obama is unfamiliar with..

Mr Obama is also likely to encounter stiff domestic opposition who are unlike to be able to find such funds left in the coffers after all of his stimulus package spending...

My mistake I mis-interpreted what I had read the part mentioned above I read it as "$50 million" Must be that time to knock off to sleep.

Judging from the title, Obama wants 50 dollars from Congress...can adding 50 dollars to the deficit be the straw that breaks the camel's back?

I know it was a thread title mistake, but congress doesn't HAVE 50$...
The average American cannot lend congress 50$ to give to Obama lol

Ain't that the truth.

The thread title is ironically apt for the current state of affairs in America.

The next time you see people playing activist, trying to get more folks to vote, slap them down. The people who don't already want to vote aren't likely informed enough to cast a decent vote, anyway.

This guy has no business being in office. It just goes to show that idiots vote, too.
