The Internet's over.. here comes the Grid

Taking you back to a report from The Mirror (UK Mainstream Newspaper) in April 2008 regarding "The Grid".

The Grid is something i am firmiliar with as it was discussed with a few friends of mine and later i did some research into it however a couple of years on and i have not heard anything about "The Grid" taking over the internet.

Does anyone have any relevent and up to date information on it's progress?
