Strange bird migration out of the South - BP?

I do hope that birds will vacate the area, I believe they are smart enough to do this, they don't need to be in the gulf, flying away from the spill show just how smart birds can be.

They sound like starlings. Starlings travel in enormous flocks and will "take over" entire stretches of forest or power lines to roost for the evening, as we're seeing in the video. They breed in the early summer, and will start nesting around September in the United States.

What you're looking at here is not some sort of panic migration, but is in fact typical starling behavior. These birds have spent all day screwing and gorging themselves, in a massive avian bacchanalia, and are now settling down for the night. In the morning the only evidence that they were there will be about an inch of bird crap under those power lines.
