Second Rig Unrelated to Deepwater Spill Reportedly Leaking in Gulf

www.foxnews.com

A second rig unrelated to the Deepwater Horizon spill has been leaking oil into the Gulf of Mexico since late April, according to reports that appear to show a clearly visible slick at the second location.

If this is true why haven't we been told about this possible second oil leak?? This leak has been leaking since april and we are just now hearing about this? I am so frustrated with this mess and it keeps getting worse. It makes me mad when it seems the only time the government is showing any type of feelings towards this is when he hears his ratings are going lower.

If this is true... I wonder if Haliburton will get to clean it up.

20 to 1 says they do.

Could oil be leaking out of fissures? If it is then the problem is very much more complex. There is no reliable info in the public domain about this.

If it was leaking out of fissures the info would be with held from the public for purposes of national security. Don't expect the MSM to cover this angle anytime soon.

You mean like this:

"Intel Hub – Today Matt Simmons, one of the largest investment bankers in the energy industry appeared on Bloomberg. The chairman of Simmons & Co. INTL went on to explain that there is much more to the oil leak than the news has been reporting. Last Sunday, National Underwater Labs sponsored by NOAA confirmed reports of a second fissure about 5-7 miles from the original. This new fissure appears to be releasing a plume the size of Delaware and Maryland combined! He went on to state that “the plume from the riser is minor thing… the best estimate is about 120,000 barrels of oil per day”.

Also in the article:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Also worth noting is that there appears to be a gigantic lake of oil now lingering below the ocean surface around 3000 feet deep."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am guessing it's probably closer to 3500 feet deep.

Yikes! Double yikes!!

Those boys better put their cleanup operations into high gear. Anyone really willing to do cleanup shouldn't have to ask twice for work.
