Steve Jobs launches the newest version of the company's touch-screen smartphone and other goodies at WWDC.

Following weeks of anticipation, Apple unveiled the latest version of the iPhone on Monday at a San Francisco tech industry event.

CEO Steve Jobs took the stage at about 10:00 a.m. local time at the company's Worldwide Developer Conference to officially launch the iPhone 4 and other new products.

Agreed. I just got my 3Gs a couple of months ago and I love it. We'll get the new software anyway and won't have to deal with a 1st gen device

Looks the same as all other iPhones to me.

Oh yeah? Like which alternatives? I'm curious.

I just got an HTC Hero, and while I really like it, I feel like it's the toddler's version of the iphone. I'd lvoe to get an iphone, but we just switched to sprint because att doesn't receive service where I live. I'll be done with college in 2 years, and hopefully by then, sprint will carry the iphone, and the next iphone will be even better than this one. I'm excited for the next few years cell-phone wise!

What about that pinphone 3gs from china? people seem to love that thing and it's near an identical copy and way cheaper!
