Why worry now? The tea party always was an astroturf campaign run by one half of the Republican party to gain control. It's appeal was never going to change a damn thing interms of votes, unless you consider fighting for 'Palin' or 'Ron Paul' voters relevant to the Republican party. I highly doubt it as these voters had been consistant Republican voters.
Weak tea? It wasnt much to start with.

The Tea Party, which grew out of Ron Paul's campaign,
is the only group of people that have put forth politicians willing to stop this.
The people are no longer so stupid

Oh yes yes yes, the ones that pushed for the Iraq war, spent $1 trillion on pointless trickle down tax cuts, voted to increase the military budget by another $1 trillion right?
I will agree that both Republicans and Democrats are to blame for this mess, but you are greatly in denial to argue this was the doing of 'liberal politicians'.

The tea parties are expressing outrage over the destruction of the dollar,
You can mock them and call them astroturf if you like,
but they were born of out of Ron Paul's campaign and have a heavy libertarian streak in them.
So keep arguing in favor of more tyranny,

Obama promised to end the wars.
He has expanded them
Obama promised to restore our civil liberties
He renewed the patriot act.
The democrats are criminals who have destroyed this country.

I would like to know mnemeth1 as to what policies did the 'liberals' in office pass that lead to the financial crises. We all know that Democrats voted on many bills that were pushed by Republicans, but what 'liberal' specific bills or laws were pushed by the Democrats that lead to the collapse of 2008? Can you list them?

Barofsky’s estimates include $2.3 trillion in programs offered by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., $7.4 trillion in TARP and other aid from the Treasury and $7.2 trillion in federal money for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, credit unions, Veterans Affairs and other federal programs.
