Scientists warn of unseen deepwater oil disaster

"Every fish and invertebrate contacting the oil is probably dying. I have no doubt about that," said Prosanta Chakrabarty, a Louisiana State University fish biologist.

At least 20 million gallons of oil and possibly 43 million gallons have spilled since the Deepwater Horizon drilling rig exploded and sank in April.

That has far eclipsed the 11 million gallons released during the Exxon Valdez spill off Alaska's coast in 1989.

The Gulf's largest spill was in 1979, when the Ixtoc I platform off

Man, this article nails it down. Latter on in the article it mentions the fact that 22 dolphins are dead. I live in Santa Barbara, Ca and one of the best things about being out here is seeing the dolphins swim by while at the beach. I have lived on Florida for years previously and would really regret seeing anything negative happen to that beautiful state and its waters. Lets hope this gets fixed and it happens soon. I think this article touches on just about all of our concerns.

can't we just make a 1 thread and update it every time when we have some new info.

This article addresses a lot of issues i see people having including myself. Have you read it? Did you have any questions about scientific analysis before you did?
