Here’s how I feel it will go:

Turkey will escort the ships.
Israel will still board the ships carrying the goods using choppers and small boats.

All the while:

Israeli submarines will be in firing position.
Israeli Awac airplanes will have identified all Turkish aircraft in the area.
Israeli air force will be flying CAP.

Outcome:

Turkey can cry to the media about Israel ignoring their Navy. Israel wins.
Turkey can shoot the small boats killing a dozen or so Israelis. And lose one or more war ships and dozens of crew. Israel wins.
Israel can use aircraft and disable the aid ships. Israel wins.

None of this will lead to a land war. Turkey would have to pass their army through Syria and Lebanon to get to Israel. Syria has too much to lose and nothing to gain by allowing this to happen.

You keep saying 'turkey' but what you should be saying is NATO.

If Israel engages in another act of belligerence against that NATO nation, then it won't just be Turkey that the rogue Israeli state will have to deal with.

*Feel free to pretend Turkey will be all alone if it makes you feel better.

Israel wins !!!

No, I think you will find Israel lost when it attacked the "Freedom Flotilla" .

The next boats will be watched by the whole world, and if Israel does anything aggressive then dire consequences will ensue.

Erdogan has legitimate hurt national feelings to champion and I dont see anyone besides a seriously damaged Netanyahu in the ring against him so far. There will be much more talking than shooting in this war, so.

Funny you mention that XenoStuffz... according to this article published at the 29th of may :
“Turkey's main opposition has taken the lead from the ruling AK Party for the first time in eight years, an opinion poll showed on Saturday, as its new leader draws fresh support before an election due in 2011.”
“The AK Party's chances of winning a third consecutive term are unclear, and Turkey's deep economic recession last year further reduced its support”
www.ynetnews.com...

well.. well done for Erdogan anyway...

I don't think for a second they actually give a damn about Palestinians.. they have no love for them, as few nations do (Egypt's blockade is 10x worse than Israel's, Egypt even refuses medical and food supplies, and also shoots trespassers.. but no one talks about that)

Starred.
Finally, someone is actually looking at the facts, instead of immediately calling Israel names, merely because it is Israel. When people look at the facts, they will see that Turkey instigated this "crisis" on purpose, and CONTINUES to instigate with another flotilla. They are playing a dangerous game in a dangerous part of the world. The fact that they are in NATO means nothing, and if they continue this behavior, dire consequences will result. No other NATO country would have ever tried pulling such a stunt.

As I have said on many threads, I don't condone a lot of Israel's behavior, but in this case, they were just trying to enforce the policy that was crystal clear to everyone, namely that if you wanted to deliver permitted aid supplies, dock at an Israeli port, where the items may be checked, and permitted items allowed to be delivered to Gaza via land.

Geeze- it seems to me, that Israel is intent on fulfilling NEW TESTIMENT prophecy, i.e. The Apocaplypse. WW IV, here we come!! (In case you were wondering, WWIII was the "cold war").

NATO isn't going to back Turkey in an offensive against Israel, and that is exactly what these flotillas are.

Europe, Russia, China, India, and of course the U.S. are tired of the constant sheit from the Middle East.

Is it time again for another smackdown?

Yes. This is interesting. Why would Turkey risk being involved in an international incident while they are desperately seeking membership in the EU?

They have already been exposed as the instigator in this recent fiasco. Perhaps they are using international condemnation of Israel as a cover in order to flex their muscle and spew their anti-semetic sentiments.

The real goal of Turkey is to become an EU member. Turkey would then become the gateway for millions of trained terrorists and terror cells to infiltrate and infest Europe like a plague that hasn't been seen since the middle ages. They have been a candidate nation for quite some time now. I just hope that the Europeans will see this for what it really is: An all out assault on civilization, with the ultimate goal being the universal imposition of sharia law.

I see what you did there.

Israel attacked ships flying under the flags of NATO nations. This time the rogue state will be punished for its belligerence.

How do you feel about that?

Punished? And just how do you expect to punish Israel? Piss in their wheaties? Do you really think they believe you can punish them after all their race has endured?

Just stop giving them your tax money. Pretty easy. And then watch their armor rot.

I thought you people think the Jews control the international monetary system? How are my tax dollars even going to matter?

I think they should change the acronym to the ITF.

Three guesses for what the 'T' stands for?!

I think you are getting way off topic. Just how am I supposed to stop giving them my tax money? And how do they take money from me? I don't understand. The last time I checked my wallet, all of my cash was accounted for. I don't see any Jews gathering outside of my house waiting to bum rush me and steal my wallet.

The real issue here is Turkeys motive in this situation.

There is your motive of giving them your money.
There is Turkish motive which is not fully disclosed.
There is Israeli motive which is fully disclosed - execution.
There is Vatican motive, still not fully disclosed.

How international bangsters get "their money"?
Try yourself with resolving that mystery, which isn't really a mystery.
Just lift your head and try to grasp a bigger picture.

The only time I want to hear about Turkey, is when they loose their EU candidate nation status, their NATO membership, or on THANKSGIVING.

Israel won’t take the first shot against a military ship. It will wait to be fired upon then it will take out that ship. A few well placed shots to the stern of the aid ships will force them to be towed by Turkish navy. Do you think they will tow them into Israeli waters and port? What NATO country would condone that level of violating Israeli sovereignty?

They will certainly have video cameras running. And just what is any NATO country going to after the fact? What have they done against Iran?

Consider this a dog fight in the street. There’s going to be a lot of barking from the houses but no one is going to leave their yard.

Then the world will see and understand that NATO is a meaningless organization and the treaty is a waste of paper....China and Russia would love that, give them a big chance to spread their influence.
