So ATS will you quit? I am contemplating it and have been for some time, way before this story broke.

Im going to stay with it, i dont use the book of face that often but its nice to nosy on relatives and friends pages when they add new photos etc.

I would be too afraid to miss something

The privacy part doesnt really bother me.

I'm ahead of the game. I refused to ever join!
Facebook kind of freaks me out. I don't like the whole Internet ego dependency that it supports. I recently saw the South Park episode about it (You've Got Zero Friends) and it really made sense to me!

I kind of hope people do quit.

You've Got Zero Friends

The episode even ventured a semi-serious point, excoriating “friendship as a commodity for a person’s status.”

I love Facebook for the moments of pure 'LOL' they so consistently give me, it's the gift that just keeps giving.

And Lamebook is full of the most splendid examples of the aformentioned 'LOL'.

I quit......

It was a few weeks ago, and I deleted any pictures individually, un-friended everyone in my family, and closed my account.
I got a a couple e-mails from people about them being cut loose, but I can pick up a phone whenever I want and talk to them. What I don't need is all my family knowing when I'm on-line and pestering me when I have work to do.

So long Facebook, and thanks for all the fish.

NO!, I'm not quitting. I love facebook!-

And I do not really mind about the privacy stuff. I'm not paranoid in the least tiny bit.

Plus I think, it's your responsibility what you do with it.
AND people should know that in the internet there's no "real" privacy anyway.

And it helps me to keep in touch with people that live far away or that I can't see often.

Yay facebook
