ATS net censorship of politically incorrect subject matter.

May 30, 2010 SJR– In a world were anyone could post hateful, harmful, and potentially illegal material (think child-porn); prudent internet censorship of on line forums is a responsible necessity.

But when the censorship crosses the line and begins to ban publication of materials that may be “deemed” by the ruling class to be politically incorrect– the public has a right to know about such unfair censorship actions.

Case in point: Not more than five days ago a new thread was started on the ATS website discussing the negative economic side of hidden clauses in Obama Care that will impact small businesses and drive up the tax burden on the general public. These little known legal provisions are going to kick in during the 2011 and 2012 tax year on the unsuspecting public.

This politically incorrect article thus raises issues that the Obama Administration may not wish the public to know about at this time. But is that a “good reason” to ban the thread and wipe it out of the searchable ATS database?


The following is a link to a group of screen shots (slide show) that proves these allegations.

Notes about the pictures in the slide show:

Picture #1 - Shows a google search page that found the article, which is circled in RED.

Picture #2 - Shows the ATS error page that clicking on the google link produces.

Picture #3 through #5 - Shows the google cache of the now CENSORED ATS THREAD!

You can blow up the pictures #3- #5 to read the article and bypass the ATS censorship.

S&F before this disappears.
I don't understand why all the censorship.
I understand the ownership responsibility as well as the financial aspect though.

Well I don't understand.

I read your post from the images you provided and didn't see anything that would be offensive in any way.

It is informative and uses no foul language or insults, nor hate speech.
All of those things ARE found in many of the threads on ATS, so again I say I don't understand why yours was removed.

ATS net censorship

ATS mods routinely delete threads. Especially threads about ATS censorship.

INB4 delete!!!! Woot.

I just checked in RATS, it's not there either.
I wonder where it went?

It took a while but I found it. You posted that in the Introductions forum. Intro's is for intro's. Not other topics. Man there are some paranoid people around here.

A thread is never trashed for the above reason. In the event of a duplicate thread, and usually only if the duplicate thread is within very recent times, it will be closed and re-directed to the original...

This thread will probably close soon, there have been several threads posted proving the censorship of ATS that got deleted. It has been going on ever since SO and I think springer got invited to DC and attended that government lobbyist convention, at least thats when I noticed. But then again this is about the 5th time I have posted this and about the 5th time on a thread that probably will get deleted.

Conspiracy website not run by the governments? It would be an amateur conspiracists not to allow that as an option, hopefully there are a few of us who will continue leaving information off of this site so that those who are its handlers wont know what we know entirely... my advice to those of you.
