Governments try to keep secrets. The press tries to learn and publish them. The courts try to strike the appropriate balance between the public’s right to be protected against disclosures that might put it at risk, on the one hand, and the public’s right to know about secrets that might cause it to change governmental policies, on the other. It is a delicate balancing act, but an essential one in a democracy that must fight its wars with both secrecy and accountability.

With the recent and other current news report about Michigan considers law to license journalists , it got me thinking about other deeper reasons for such control to occur.

This thread and article may possibly connect the dot/s that may be involved. Seeing as to the increased momentum towards this and related is it not obvious that more government control is being enroached upon the people, even if a little at a time even pennies add up.

Judge for your selves and see what else is going on before jumping on the nearest band wagon.
