I doubt it. He's in their corner saying that tabloid journalism is killing the established newspapers and legitimate news sources. He'll be overlooked. I would assume thats why "Bruce Patterson CNN" and "Bruce Patterson MSNBC" and "Detroit Free Press Bruce Patterson" and a host of others return no results for this story. Fox News has it though. Sorry, Faux News - must not be real.

What? Is this Senator Patterson a new breed of politician? A socialist Republican? Wow! He probably listens to that, as has been described on an ATS thread, liberal Michael Savage.

Plenty of socialist republicans. Did you miss the 8 years before the current socialist in chief? Did you miss the past election with McCain running on the republican ticket? There is no need for a new classification of politicians, from what I see, most of them value socialist ideas.

Here's one democratic socialist who doesn't want any government control of journos.

Lawmakers are the ones we need to license. They should also get urine tested regularly and blow a breathalyzer when they come back from lunch break.

Permits, licensing and drug testing for all politicians and law makers.

We have to be sure that these people are who they say they are and are representing us in a reasonable manner.
