I am proud of this young man! We should all learn from him and have the courage to go out and make a difference instead of just talking about it. I hope he does well.


The 18-year-old hopes, if elected, to ensure that the city spends only as much as it brings in, to bring more businesses and jobs to Shreveport and to assure Shreveporters that local police will honor the Fourth Amendment — which guards citizens against unreasonable searches.

"I'm the only candidate running on principle, not party," Ward said.

Yup, I would certainly agree.

As to the OP, good job for this kid, I really hope he wins and makes some good changes.

Perhaps if we have younger officials doing well that will give the change required to remove the ridiculous age requirements on Senate and Congressional seats.
