Came across this blogg/newsite called techdirt.com and one of the articles caught my eye as potentially of interest to some ATS members.
Essentially the article is about suggestions made to the audience at the Strategic Command Cyber Symposium by the deputy defense secretary, William
Lynn III.
He told the audience that companies who operate critical infrastructure need to let the US install monitoring equipment or it puts everyone at risk.
According to the article the The NSA has apparently developed a monitoring system called Einstein and want companies to allow the government to
install it's own monitoring system or 'or face the "wild west" and put everyone at risk'.

and here's a bit of the (very short) article
The whole "cyberterorrism" fear mongering is being taken to even more extreme levels. At the Strategic Command Cyber Symposium, William Lynn
III, the deputy defense secretary apparently told the audience that companies who operate critical infrastructure need to let the US install
monitoring equipment or it puts everyone at risk.
Doesn't it warm your cockles at knowing that the good ole Pentagon, NSA, and US government has nothing but your well being in mind, and would like to
cradle you in it's benevolent arms and protect you from all the nasty cyberterrorists and stuff?
