A Glitch in Obamas' programming?

While watching the CNN.com videos about the Gulf oil spill, I ran across this clip of the president assuring America that BP would be held responsible for the costs of the spill cleanup.

At approximately 53 seconds into the clip, he turns his head and changes words in mid-speach. It really struck me like Star Trek TNG's Data when he experiences a glitch in his "positronic brain".

I first thought that it was just a sloppy edit on the part of the CNN team, but the more I watch it the more creepy it seems.

Only guess work on my part but I think he was going to say "We will demand every dime is repaid" and changed it to "they pay every dime" - meaning BP.

The video seems a bit laggy, I wouldn't want to say one way or the other if this has been edited/doctored - anyone???

It does seem strange though, almost like the timing of the video was changed?

Was he reading his prompter? We all know how hard it is to talk to people without having your response prewritten.

That is exactly what happened.

He was switching from right side teleprompter to left side teleprompter. It told him to switch and he got a little mixed up.

Look at his eyes closely as he moves his head from side to side. If you look really close, you can tell he is reading from Right to Left *from our perspective but from his it's left to right*.

Another interesting thing, on news shows where they sit at a desk and talk to each other.

What closely, they look DOWN into the desk constantly. Because those desks actually have see through tops and teleprompters inside them that you can only see from above. You cannot see them from the sides from our vantage points (the viewers).

The even use these on the Daily Show and stuff. The fact the noobs always look down at it constantly gives it away. Also the fact their eyes move from side to side while "reading the teleprompter" gives it away.

Just watch closely. They always look in the same spot, and move their eyes side to side. Only the ultimate masters can actually hide it. 95% of people are so pathetic of actors they cannot hide it at all.

I thought about him switching teleprompters also. Normally he is quite adept at avoiding what we used to call "teleprompter eyes" (the effect of tracking the lines with your eyes while reading from a 'prompter)

To me it simply looks like he forgot he was president...he was saying how we were going to DEMAND, realized he was in charge, and changed it to we WILL make it happen

It sure looks like a couple of frames might be missing from that clip.

His head goes from looking sideways to straight forward instantaneously.

Okay, I take that back. I watched it a second, third and fourth time and it didn't look the same. ???

Thats what happens when you can't think for yourself and rely on your teleprompter to tell you what to say...puppet w/o strings.

Meh -- so the guy tripped over a couple of words.

I'm not necessarily a big fan of his (I don't like his deficit spending), but we all trip over our words from time-to-time. No big deal.

I'm sure this isn't the biggest slip up Première Obama is certain to make during his reign.

Good find though, politicians embarrassing themselves never fails to entertain.
