Nuclear War Between Koreas: Brought To You By The U.S. Government

www.infowars.com

Kim Jong-Il has put North Korean troops on combat alert and threatened military action if the South trespasses in its waters as global stock markets freak out at the prospect of a war which, if it occurs, can be blamed on the U.S. government’s history of arming the Stalinist dictator with nuclear weapons.

Korean markets plunged 3.3 per cent overnight as investors were spooked at escalating tensions between the two countries following South Korea’s allegation that the North was responsible for the March 26 torpedoing of one of its warships

Kim Jong-il responded to the charge by puttin

They has every reason to go to war. If some one let say Russia was firing missiles into OUR air space and having them land only a few miles out side of out boarders We would be at war the NEXT day.

we need look at it from their side. The U.S. is doing everything they can do to spark a new war. We are trying to instigate conflict.

I like how they blame the jittery market on tensions and not the real problem -that it is a fundamentally ill market to begin with. I'm sure the SK currency market was affected yes, maybe 3 -5 percent. The dow has to cut 50% of it's value though.

The DOW HAS TO correct to 4,500 or thereabouts. Has to has to has to. From there it can continue to grow at the pace it should have for the past 15 years. 10 years after that correction it should be between 7,500 and 10,000 based on real world fundamentals. Until then anything above that is pure manipulation. It's not doomsday to come, more like it's been a fairy tale the past 15 years. Back to reality if you will. It has to correct and it will. War or not.

On the other hand, if China sees the buzzing south Korean economy as a real threat there certainly will be war by proxy.

But why does it have to be a NUCLEAR war?

Aren't there any conventional wars anymore?

Isn't a conventional war bad enough? If I only had a handful of nukes, I wouldn't waste them all right away.

I would bury a few under certain mountain passes/valleys, and draw my enemy in, letting him think he had the upperhand, then detonate.

I dont think NK has the ability to put a nuke on a missle yet, so no nuclear war.

Conventional on the other hand.........

What ever happened to the good old fashioned dual? You gotta problem with some one...you take it to them and keep it between the two of you...why does everyone else have to get drug into it?
I'm sick of worrying about wars being started by people that I don't even know, and have nothing against. Why should my friends, family, and possibly myself ever have to kill, or fight other innocent people because a couple of A-holes are determined to have pissing contest? How many people have to die before we get our heads out of our @sses?

50,000+ Americans died, and millions of Vietnamese suffered because the US GOP & DNC controlled govt lied about a ship being attacked... so here's a thought, lets learn from history and not assume this time, eh?.. remember what our national treasure gw bush once alluded to, something like: "Fool me once, uh..shame on..uh, you, no..me, err.. can't get fooled again"

Every time people trust a GOP or DNC dear leaders war excuses, it turns out to be yet another steaming pile of unmitigated crap, inflated lies from epic war profiteering liars..

It's almost as if the GOP & DNC haven't lied enough wars into being, or caused enough dead people to lose all credibility... I'll bet there were millions of folks around the world in the 1930s in awe at just how Fing stupid some Germans were to actually buy into the absurd fascist & violent rhetoric spewed forth by the ruling political party.. and it's freakish party leader.

Tonkin Gulf Lie Launched Vietnam War

"...the New York Times reported: "President Johnson has ordered retaliatory action against gunboats and 'certain supporting facilities in North Vietnam' after renewed attacks against American destroyers in the Gulf of Tonkin."

But there was no "second attack" by North Vietnam — no "renewed attacks against American destroyers."...."

I put this in the other thread but AJ really broke it down yesterday on his show:

I never knew US paid for NK to have Light-Water reactors?

Washington, Jan. 17 (Bloomberg) -- President George W. Bush is seeking $3.5 million for the international consortium that continues to build two nuclear reactors for North Korea, even as the U.S. confronts the communist regime over nuclear arms.

The funding, which must be approved by Congress, would go toward the New York-based Korean Peninsula Energy Development Organization's administrative funding, State Department spokesman Richard Boucher said. The money wouldn't fund reactor construction, he said.

``We're not prejudging the decisions on the organization's future,'' Boucher told reporters. ``Proposals for funds are intended to maintain the flexibility we need to achieve our global nonproliferation goals.''

The sum is the U.S. share of KEDO's $17 million operating budget, including its 40 workers in New York and eight in North Korea, KEDO spokesman Brian Kremer said. As many as 1,500 construction workers remain in Kumho, in northeastern North Korea, pouring the concrete foundations for the reactors, which won't be completed for several years, he said.

The 1994 Agreed Framework created the organization, committing the U.S., Japan and South Korea to build the reactors and deliver enough fuel oil for North Korea's energy needs until the facilities were ready. South Korea is paying for most of the reactor project.

In exchange, North Korea would scrap reactors tied to a nuclear arms effort and allow international inspectors to verify compliance. Two new 1,000-megawatt, light-water reactors, valued at $4.6 billion, would provide enough power to light 2 million U.S. homes, or about 20 percent of North Korea's energy.

The pledge shows the U.S. is still pursuing its commitments to North Korea even as the two countries are squaring off over U.S. allegations North Korea essentially annulled the agreement by covertly enriching uranium for weapons use.

Inspectors Sent Home

North Korea sent home two International Atomic Energy Agency officials who were monitoring the country's compliance with the agreement and withdrew from the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty.

This week North Korea reacted angrily to U.S. offers to resume dialogue if the regime abandons its nuclear weapons program, alleging the Bush administration is threatening war.

The principal KEDO members, now the U.S., South Korea, Japan and the European Union, decided to end shipments of fuel oil soon after U.S. envoy James Kelly's October meeting with North Korean officials at which the Bush administration said it learned of the regime's deception.

It doesnt HAVE to be, but countries who sign mutual defense agreements with the US are covered by our nuclear umbrella. If NK nukies SK, then NK will get nuked back.

There are so many people who say the US doesnt need to get involved and that may be true, but the US has defense pacts with many countries and this is what can come of it. Its called an obligation and the US would lose all credibility if it all of the sudden started bailing out on countries with who it shares defense with.

Yep-because its hard to make nukes from light water reactors. The US was trying to please the international community (NK supporters) by not completely disallowing NK the technology but by giving them what would be very hard to do anything with.

you cannot make weapons grade nuclear material from a light water reactor. Thats why we sold it to them, so they would not put in a heavy water reactor.

I agree ignorance is no excuse...speaking of ignorance....

Did you know that both Iraq and North Korea are hiding their weapons program under the pretences of building heavy water reactors? France tried to make a deal with Iraq to build them light water reactors since they use a different fuel that you cannot also make weapons grade plutonium as a bi-product as you can with the heavy reactors. So light water reactors are what the world wants these countries to have, and because of that I missed your point if there was one.
