if you were a vet or military you would know. the whole reason for learning how to march and do manuevers while marching is.....
d i s c i p l i n e.
discipline is key in battle. the way they march also shows that they are physically fit. again, key in battle readiness.

I fear we're witnessing the beginning stages of WW-III to be honest. The last time we got involved in the Korea war, we ended up toe-to-toe with the Chinese. That was during a time when China was considered by many to be an inferior country militarily. This time around, they may have the home field advantage against us. Sheer numbers alone over-powered us last time. If it happens again, this time, they hold the good hand.
We owe China so much money, their military seriously dwarfs ours, and now they're damn near just as technologically advanced. Yeah, this will spiral out of control VERY quickly. This worries me.
That being said, South Korea has the right to defend itself. And they're allies to us. I really don't like where this is headed.
I agree dude. ww3 could be just around the corner. China would rape US imo if they choose to.

Hi,
I would like to first off make it very clear that the USA would not fund a war with NK from its own pockets, it would be paid for by SK and to an advantage of the USA. I don't really think uncle SAM wants old Kim off his throne yet anyways, better the enemy you know then the one you don't. As for CHN being a strong fight if they came into such a war, PLEASE... CHN has nothing on the USA, the two war fronts the USA has going down now are money makers and the soldiers are used as a Police force rather then a machine of death (the true job of a solider). USA had more advanced weapon systems back in the 80s then CHN has now, it makes me wild to hear such things as USA is going down, can't take on this or that. As for a nuke war ending the world..... Yes there would be a lot of devastation and death, but most nukes from rogue states would be down just off the launch pad, the USA nukes would for 99.9% make there targets and that would be that. The earth is one strong lady and would recover in due time along with our population. Just look at the amount of nukes tested and set off over the last 60 years, I can tell you that there has been a hell of a lot tested and much more then WW3 would need to find a victor. What will happen will happen and none of us can do crap about it. Lets not forget that if the world was like the west and with out controlling fanatics it would be a stable modern place full of extreme wonder and great good. Yes we would still have the ruling elite and what not, but its the way its been and always will be. PEACE>

Looks like rag-dolls on pieces of string, if they dare fall out of tune they immediately get sent to firing squad.

WikiLeaks claims to have information that is *history making*. Could this be it?
/me dawns tin-foil hat.
You're probably wrong on the china raping America.
1) China is all litoral warfare, they have absolutely NO military projection capability.
2) Like most countries, lots of technologically advanced equipment (still limited technology compared to ours) does little without the funds to properly train using it. I.E. we would dominate them in air superiority.
3) There is the potential to load up a bunch of people into container ships and drop them at our shores if they so chose, and our air superiority would be little good if they were in the middle of our own cities; however, there is a good reason that NO ONE has invaded the US in modern history.
We are inundated with guns. People would be coming out of the woodwork if we were invaded and their superior numbers (around 100 million) would quickly not be so superior.
4) In a nuclear war, no one would win, and frankly I don't see anything besides tactical nukes being used unless a nation is in absolute dyer straits. The only exceptions to this would be Iran and some other middle eastern countries and N. Korea, but N.K. will be in dyer straits prior to using them and then they would use them on S.K. or possibly Japan not on the U.S.

A third nuclear test and naval confrontations in the Yellow Sea are likely, say analysts, in response to South Korean President Lee Myung-bak's announcement Monday of retaliatory measures against North Korea for torpedoing the navy ship Cheonan.

Can't even believe this got 2 stars...For what purpose to kill? I think the ones who are more brave are the ones who refuse to kill and not go along with the program those are the REAL heroes...It's this shogun-istic war mentality that's got us on the tipping point.
