America can not go round bullying nations, The world has started to wake up... There is no financial gain in setting all the people of the world free to have a war when TPTB have spent the last 50-60 years gaining control.

We don't all think that way.

Granted, if it were up to some, we'd be fighting twelve different and unnecessary wars right now, slipping further into crippling debt and losing everything we have...including our loved ones serving.

I do think verbally supporting the South in its condemnation and vowing to support it should it need any further assistance is a pretty decent move. Not that anything usually comes of that sort of thing when dealing with North Korean aggression, other than possible sanctions.

If these accusations are true...

ATTACKS BLAMED ON NORTH

* Jan 1967 - South Korean warship attacked near border, 39 sailors killed
* Jan 1968 - presidential palace in Seoul stormed, 71 killed
* Oct 1983 - Rangoon hotel used by South Korean president bombed, 21 killed
* Nov 1987 - South Korean airliner bombed, 115 killed
* Mar 2010 - Cheonan warship attacked, 46 sailors killed

BBC News

...then they seem to be bold enough not to expect any serious retaliation, and should history prove to be a guide there will be none.

First it was the Lucitania, then it was the Gulf of Tonkin, now another ship sinks as the war drums begin to beat.

Can't they find a new original idea for plunging the nation into war?

I have been thinking for quite a while that the only way the banksters will ever fix the world's economic mess will be through a major military conflict breaking out. The same recipe repeated time and again.

Dangerous times we are living in.

No, I don't think that China would, or could, "rape" us. WW-III will start out as conventional and result in a stalemate. Many will die on both sides. At which point, we'll use nuclear arms against one-another. And that is the end game.

We believe in taking people down with us. It's the way America rolls.

Doesnt china have nuclear weapons too? If they fire first america is screwed ?

...And then suddenly so many troops are being mobilized here within the USA, and now this speech from Obama... Let the good times roll, right?

I sincerely hope we're just tin-foil hat wearers and are completely misreading all the signs. I really do.

Yeah, China has nuclear weapons to. However by the time they impact us here in the States, we'll have fired ours off in retaliation. That works both ways. So really, it is an end game.

sorry mods, I move too quickly. these were meant to be separate posts. This was a reply to a comment posted during the time I was adding the above posts. not trying to 'post whore' or anything.

question: why doesn't my bbcode work?

Stupid people, which is most people, would blame the war for the economy going down... and the banks who created the mess would walk free.

Also a big war would mean ``jobs``... soldiers and all that stuff you need to give soldiers to fight need to be manufactured... guess where? In the US.

Jobs in the war industry + jobs in the army + North Korea being blamed for the economic hardship = WIN WIN WIN for the banks, the political class and the war industry.

And no NORTH KOREA CAN'T NUKE SOUTH KOREA

For the Torpedo coming from Germany : Here

And all economists who are not brainwashed mainstream medias predicted a war would happen before the year is out to ``save the economy``.

BTW, if they try to draft you, your son, your brother or your friend, TELL THEM TO GO SCREW THEMSELVES.

The same way it did during WWII.

For the world bank it means hedging bets on both sides, lending money to all parties involved and turning a profit on the financing of an expensive world conflict.

The same bankers who were lending money to America and England were the same ones who were funding and supplying the Nazi party. Same family names are present today. It is all a cyclical event, the banks get in trouble, want to cull the population, take the heat off of themselves and make a huge profit all in one shot?

Start a war.

Star for you.

Could not be more clearly articulated...

And would China approve of this war, if US economic boost = global boost?

That sounds very logical. That may be enough of a reason alone for the US to go to WAR.

How do you figure North Korea cannot nuke South Korea? They have the technology, albeit it it's infancy. They can create the bomb, and are in close proximity to South Korea. So it is POSSIBLE for them to do so.

Also, just caught the remaining part of your post. Seems plausible to me that you're on the right path. That scares me even more.

Try as I can, I cannot see any possible advantage for the US in a new Korean war. The nation is already struggling with everything from oil slicks to the economy to two quagmire-wars...somehow I don't think this is a US provaracation. The nation's military and budget are spread too thin to cope with another major conflict. Also, relations with China are dicey
and something tells me a US war in the area wouldn't make the nation's
chief creditor too happy.

Well you see it all depends on the actions of North Korea... South Korea is

weak and pretty much at the mercy of the whims of North Korea, i mean

they want an apology?

Gimmie a break... Asking for an apology must make Kim Jong ill rub his

hands and giggle with glee...

So Mr. ill got to blow up a South Korean war ship, and get away with it...

How many more provacative acts can he get away with? Who the hell

knows, with this world full of pansies, i really hope there ARE no hostile

Alien fleets out there roaming the galaxy, because we would be shining

their shoes...

Okay, first off I'm getting a little irritated with some of you people saying that China would have the upper hand because they trump the US in a foot soldier sense. Yes, it is true, china has a much larger foot army then the US, however that hardly matters when they can't get to our shores to make use of it.

The USA's true bread and butter has always been it's airforce and navy and you can bet if any thing EVER popped off between the USA and China, we would bomb them to the stone age before we even thought of sending our ground forces in. Nations aren't afraid to go to war with the United States because of their numbers they fear war with the US because of the arsenal we have, the top grade of the arsenal and the many different ways to attack from strategicaly.

The same goes for North Korea. Sure they have a lot of foot soldiers, but any person in their right mind that thinks the measly 25 thousand US soldiers we have stationed in S. Korea wouldn't put up a fight alone against the North is apparently forgetting the kind of technology those troops are armed with.

As scary as it is, the US could probably destroy the entire world alone. But at what cost? That's something to really think about.

It could be that they have been purposefully manipulating the economy as a means to insure that there are plenty of fresh hungry bodies to draft into the ranks of the military for just such an occassion.

Millions of young men who can hardly find work have been enlisting, even millions more would be readily available to draft in. It would be a perfect way to achieve all of their goals - make large sums of money, trim the population, and an excellent means to cover up all of the shady dealings that have gone on.

What better distraction could there be than another world war?

This is all speculation at this point, but remember the powers that be are always looking a step ahead of the rest of the populous. This attack could be the staging for events that have been planned for many years.

Perhaps they know that China must be addressed militarily and not allowed to grow into an unstoppable monster....at all cost. Maybe this is how it will all begin.

We shall see.
