I think people need to think outside the box sometimes, and consider other possible explanations, when you see the ancients cave drawings, artifacts, and text ,i think well maybe ancient people really saw these things, could explain the cave drawing of the alien looking person, iit is thier way of recorded something they saw

Exactly, everything in the book of Revelations is a metaphor, why can't this be one as well

Exactly. In fact, the Bible is one giant metaphor when you think about it. Just sad so many take it literal and take it as factual history, lol.

This is very cool. This and the Ancient Astronaut series are starting to make me believe some things that I had written off a parables, allegories, and fables.

It kind of reminds me of Pandorum too.

The boat was 300 cubits long and 50 cubits wide. Noah was about 500+ years old when he built the boat, and much larger.. So his cubits were much bigger than one of a traditional man.

It took him about 100 years to build the boat, for he was 600 when he was told to come into the boat... For God was inside.

A man that big, with help, over 100 years could build a pretty darn big boat

Or maybe its all a load of tosh and none of it means anything. I like to think of it as follows: "What would people think of the show 'The West Wing' 1000 years from now?" Would people think it was a record of an actuall administration? A shadow governemnt, a schizm in the US? People will make up all sorts of explinations to fill the gaps of an old story. Maybe the arc is real, maybe it did have all kinds of DNA and such, or maybe it never happened at all and the bible is a fiction that has been transformed into a religion.

I am no expert on DNA, but I do know that it take alot of technology and some very long lasting materials to build the required devices to store and then revive and use the DNA. Now ask yourself this: If we can find 2000 year old papryus scrolls that have been sitting in jars in the middle east almost intact, why have we never found parts of a working biotech lab that is sea worthy?

This topic reminds me of something my art teacher told me in high school, "Sometimes part of a painting can have deep meaning, for both the artist and the viewers, then some times a banana is just a banana."

Is a very interesting idea and I think it is much more viable that all the beasts in one boat
I would love to have been on that boat to have seen how the separated the animals from killing each other.
Alternative Ancient history is one of my favourite subjects and something that I know I will never know the real story of in this life.

metaphor good thing you believe the story's are .Only a blind man could believe other wise.
i see a reply's he was 600 no reason he couldn't build it .
Only reason in that reply is lack of reason. I see another reply saying the 1000s of animals bugs and birds . This to shows lack of reason.
there are not 1000s of animals bugs birds and yes fish (a fresh water fish in the now salt water world ocean?
there are millions of animals birds and bugs so many so even the bugs alone would have filled 20 ships the size the ark was thought to be.
yes you better believe its a metaphor why do you think religion relys so much on faith . make the same story now it would be the next big movie hit.
reads just like the day after tomorrow doesn't it

So I watched a very interesting show on the History channel last night and it brought up the suggestion that the Ark, Noah was commissioned to build and to bring two of every animal in the world on was actually a mega DNA bank, that Extra Terrestrials had used to store the DNA of all living things, because they saw that man was wicked and wanted to start over, but is it possible or just a far out thought, just think

How could Noah and his small family build a boat large enough to fit two of every single living creature, and how did they travel around the world to do this, it doesn't seem logical or in any way possible? Even with gods help it seems an impossible feat

It would, however be possible to have the DNA gathered into a facility to store for the future, in fact we have our own "ARK" of it today

news.bbc.co.uk...

It may be far out, but it is possible.
Any thoughts

That was pretty much the theory I have allways had.....

Cool someone else thunk it up now too..... when I said it they just acted like it was a coocoo idea, lol...

That is a interesting theory. But what about similar legends written before Noah's tell? If they are the similar then it is even more possible.

Sumerian Tablets show a hint towards this. The Anunnaki could of done this quite easily.

c'mon guys surely this can't be a new angle for any of you. We talked about this theory back in sunday school when I was 5yrs old, and that was some considerable time ago. It's bleeding obvious. jeeeeeeeeeeez everytime I come to this site lately I get so embarrassed by most of the posts that I have to delete my browser history and run away again.

Whether naturally by panspermia or by design the ark seed bank theory massively reduces the odds needed for life to evolve to where we are at on Earth today. It's just common sense surely?

'it doesn't seem logical or in any way possible? Even with gods help it seems an impossible feat"

Umm. ???
Don't even know what to say to that one.

I find it surprising that so many ATS'ers are so quick and willing to gobble up any theory that they hear or see on The History Channel.

If you are not perceptive enough to realize that The History Channel is what it is, then IMO you need to wake up.

They hardly ever even talk about History on there anymore for Pete's sake.
It's all Aliens, and 2012, and UFO Magazine. Nostradamus. Apocalypse. Conspiracy.

Basically, in my opinion, it is what THEY want you believe about all this stuff.

Is no one wary?

The show on history channel isnt theories. Mostly facts represented due a 18 months project of informing the public of aliens. Noah was a hybrid. And yes the ark was a dna bank, but it didnt containt ALL animals.only the most important ones.

But what would have happened to all of the DNA specimens, AFTER the flood? Did E.T. geneticists take the specimens from Noah and breed them to produce living creatures again?

If the ark was a DNA bank, surely the stories would have been told in such a way as to reference the creation of all living species again.

The show he is talking about on history channel is parted into 9 parts. The world governments has a 18 months project to inform the public about Aliens. The show on history channel is only 1 part of it. The show informs of FACTS,and only include 2 theories\ideas. Rest is facts.

Hey-Believe whatever you want to. If you see it on The History Channel, it must be true.

18 months of programming to teach us dummies about aliens?
For the imminent disclosure I suppose?

Please continue.

The biblical proportions of Noahs ark describe a ship the size of a super tanker....it certainly is possible to have carried live animals on it for the most part....
What i find interesting are the name similarites with Noah, in the other accounts from other parts of the world...
(there are dissimilarites too)
however the story for the most part is repeated world wide in ledgend...
gotta have a grain of truth in it...

What?! I haven't watched the History Channel lately so I wouldn't know, but this just sounds absurd. (SOMEONE IS GOING TO SAY, "BECAUSE IT IS!") How do you know there is a 18 month project of informing the public of aliens? Where did you hear or read about this? Thanks.

In order to store all these DNAs he still would have to collect them and thus "travel around the world" [with his laboratory], wouldn't he..?

And why would he want to store 2 DNAs of each animal?

The deal here is, if you're going to believe the story of Noah at all because it's in the Bible, which is the true and accurate Holy Word of God, then you're pretty much going to have to believe that it happened just exactly like it says. A big boat with two of every animal in it. Not a DNA bank. Not a space ship. None of that other stuff.

Why believe some of it and not the rest? Convenience?
