More strange Archeological finds w/some new ones!

Such a tremor in the force Two threads in one week I'm posting this one since it has some topics I've not seen before.

Discovered: 1999 In 1999, a professor at Bashkir State University in Russia named Alexander Chuvyrov made a remarkable archeological discovery. He was called to the house of Vladimir Krainov, who reported a strange slab buried in his backyard. Chuvyrov was instantly intrigued, as he had been searching for similar slabs that have been cited in various historical manuscripts. The slab was so heavy that it took over a week to unearth. The discovery was named the Dashka stone and later titled the Map of the Creator. The artifact is approximately 5 feet high, 3.5 feet wide, .5 feet thick, and weighs at least one ton. The stone was investigated and determined to be some sort of three-dimensional relief map of the Ural Region. Today’s military uses similar maps to measure elevation and terrain. The Dashka stone reportedly contains representations of civil engineering work, weirs, an irrigation system, and powerful dams. To date, the ancient technology used to make the map is unknown and extremely advanced. The map also contains numerous inscriptions. At first, the scientists thought that it was an Old Chinese language, although it was later reported that the inscriptions were done in a hieroglyphic-syllabic language of unknown origin. A group of Russian and Chinese specialists in the fields of cartography, physics, mathematics, geology, chemistry, and Old Chinese language researched the artifact and were the ones that identified it as a map of Ural region, with rivers Belya, Ufimka, and Sutolka listed. Dating of the slab was reported to be over 100 million years old, but I couldn’t find any reliable resources citing evidence of what type of test was used or the exact results. If the Map of the Creator is genuine then it would suggest the existence of an ancient highly developed civilization. Researchers have claimed that a three-dimensional map of this order could have only been used for navigational purposes. Many websites claim that the slab is proof of ancient flight. Recent discoveries indicate that the slab is a piece of a larger artifact. The Dashka stone continues to undergo scientific testing and is not available for public viewing.

I really start to wonder with all these theories.
It seems that the Ancient world was as adanced as we are today.
What really makes them less than us?? Is it maybe because we live in cities and subdivision with houses and they lived in huts or caves????

Where and when did all this knowledge about all these civilizations get misplaced??
I guess that is a little bit off topic ha ha sorry mods.

Well this seems very interesting, I too would like to see some pics.

It's awesome that things like this exist but I just wish today's society embrassed these kinds of finds and wanted to show them to the world instead of hiding them, so we the public never hear about them or have to go out of our way to find a article tucked somewhere in the interwebs. Oh the day will come.... Hopefully.

BTW, wasn't Qin Shi Huang's tomb supposed to contain a carved map of the world or at least his kingdom?

It would be interesting to see more than one pic of it (from the link). We are slowly digging up more and more Out of Place artifacts, and it's getting harder to say that it was done by this erosion or that lava thing etc. etc.. I can't wait until we find another machine like the Ank device (can't spell the whole name) from Greece mechanism or larger and we will see that the ancient world new more than our own scientists want to admit.

Actually he's supposed to and also the ceiling of the tomb is encrusted with jewels so that it glows and that a river of mercury flows through the map as oceans and rivers and lakes.

Actually, I don't think that is from the news article. I did a google image search and that was the biggest picture I could find showcasing the whole slab. I tried looking for one that was head-on(so you could see the 3D aspect) but alas....

Because, as far as I can tell from the picture, it just looks like a big slab of rock with some naturally occuring cracks in it.

That's what I meant. When the article mentioned that the 'writing' may be chinese and the fact that the ol' emperor of China was supposed to have such a 3D map in his tomb....immediately, it came to my mind that someone might have broken into the tomb long ago and stole that part of the map. That way they'd have a tactical advantage over anyone trying to come in and conquer them. But that's just my imagination running wild.


ETA:I take that back about not being able to find a head-on picture. Here's one but its kind of small and the picture quality is so-so.





Still looks like a regular piece of rock to me but I'll reserve full judgement until and if I ever see it in person.

I wonder if these stone batteries, encrusted computer gears, and maps, actually come from a civilization that survived an apocalypse. They had, perhaps, a more advanced technology, than us, but were left with very few, if any modern resources. Maybe they utilized what they had to send a message to the "next generation," been there, done that, here's a rock map that says so.

i first read about this back in 99, or 00. I couldn't find a decent image of it, but in my mind i pictured something like a lithograph.

I must say that, after seeing it, i am completely underwhelmed.

Thank you! I obviously don't post pics to often The article mentioned similar stones. Like I said some of the items the stone in particular are new to me.

I've heard about this years ago. I personally think it's rubbish. I've seen an image of it before and it's just a rock with a bunch of cracks in it. There was no writing that I could discern nor any pointed out. There was no comparison to modern day elevation maps of the region either. That, and you can't date rock itself unless it's in strata, which this rock was not.

Map of the Creator: I'm sayin' Hoax. This Pravda article seems to be the source.

If you do an ATS search of the other artifacts on the list, most of them have been debunked too.

I first heard of this in about 00-01.
I later saw the pravda article linked above and later saw a linked article with bad pics.

Pravda wasnt the original source, but I agree it's probably the source of the hoopla.
Seems this story grows as it gets repeated, which leads me to believe it's mostly fiction, but probably based on some very unimpressive story that got expaned on by the pravda article, and later retellings on websites and tabloids.

yeah i often think about that as in maybe there was an advanced civilisation who experienced an apocalypse (did someone say flood?) then with their technology all gone wouldn't they have to live like "cavemen"? hence all the stone artifacts not that iron artifacts would survive this long. i heard somewhere that egypt and others sort of sprung up,i mean they seem to have had from the beginning a state religion, class system, and a detailed legal system which implies years of precedents.
