This is becoming absolutely insane. You think the only people that are going to be sent to this island or executed will be 'repeat offenders'? Soon enough you'll be saying anyone caught with Child Pornography of any size, whether it be an entire collection filled with thousands of photos and hundreds of videos, or like that kid who accidentally downloaded that torrent of files without knowing what it was, then immediately deleting it, who don't actually do anything should be killed or isolated on an island with the real sickos.

How does this solve the problem?!?!?! How many court cases have been brought up where the 19 year old kid is put in jail for having sex with his 15 year old girlfriend, for the same amount of time as some creepy 40 year old perv raping a 5 year old, and had their life ruined forever.

But that won't matter to you guys. Their all just 'evil pedos' right? Their mindset is unnatural and completely sick for not simply dealing with the magical sexual age of 18. Lump them all in one basket and nuke the hell out of it I say!

What about underage kids who have sex? I've heard stories where 12 year olds are doing it! Do they go there too? Are they to be executed? Because technically they'd be molesting each other.

I can't believe this is ATS. Where are people denying ignorance here? Do people seriously believe pedos wear symbols flaunting the fact that they're attracted to children? I guess being stupid has to come out at some point and looking up the facts and real life scenarios is adding a gray area most don't want to look at. Still I'm pretty sure it will pass. Just like every other form of 'protecting the children' legislation they ram down our throats. In a couple of years I'm sure we'll see politicians come out and tell everyone they're gonna get rid of 'em once and for all! While the actual statistics stay relatively the same.

Whatever, I'm tired of seeing these anti-pedo threads, and I'm not even going to look anymore because all it does is piss me off.

the problem is always innocent people getting arrested .... in this case "isolated" from society ...

so, if you think differently from the gov, they will just try to create some excuse to send you away

but I think if a person is a child abuser, he should be let to death ...

Repeat offenders only. Anyone watching dateline nbc 'to catch a predator' will understand that yes sometimes desperate guys let their genitals be their 'head' and get themselves into silly situations with underage girls, however if you do this twice, it's clearly not a 'mistake' or 'i just wasn't thinking straight'.. because then it's clear that is how you are thinking and your perception of reality has become very very warped.
People like that can impact a childs life forever e.g. my girlfriend still having some mental problems because of some sexual abuse in her teens, at the age of 22 for christs sake.

I guess some pedos don't realise the impact they have on kids. I feel sorry for them too because of this. But you get no sympathy from me doing it twice. Just pure damnation.

The concept is basically correct IMHO, if you're going to forgo the death penalty for those convicted of acts involving pre-pubescent kids. (Not that I particularly have a problem with the execution of anyone convicted in a court of law of sexually abusing anyone under high school age)

I'd eventually take it one step further and use such a program to feed space exploration programs. When we establish more permanent and larger stations in orbit and eventually on the moon, someone is going to have to clean, tend to the plants and animals, and fix the food.... and at first, there aren't going to be any children within a few dozen miles of near-vacuum at the least. Food for thought.

Here is my thought.... First, while I have no sympathy for pedophiles, I can't see something like this actually happening,

First of all it's already being done. McNeil Island in Washington State.

Second, I've stressed this over and over in the thread and posts - The 'Island' is for repeat offenders who have been classified as 'sexually violent predators'.

Only sex offenders whom the court finds to meet the legal definition of a sexually violent predator may be civilly committed to the Special Commitment Center.

RCW 71.09.020(16) defines "sexually violent predator" as “any person who has been convicted of or charged with a crime of sexual violence and who suffers from a mental abnormality or personality disorder which makes the person likely to engage in predatory acts of sexual violence if not confined in a secure facility.”

I don't see why this is so hard for people to grasp.
We're NOT talking juveniles under 18 having sexual relations.
We're also not talking about kiddie porn on pc's.

We're talking keeping children safe from men/women who are REPEAT OFFENDERS - People who will not change, cannot change and every chance they get will re-offend.

I truly believe paranoia is striking deep here on this thread with people jumping to conclusions there will be 'pedophile round ups' and the innocent being banished to the Island.

As for the women who re-offend.
Oh well, there will just have to be another Island opened then right?
I don't see the issue.
It isn't like there is only one facility like this out there?

In the mean time NOTHING out there works to stop re-offenders other than keeping them locked up.

The alternative is more children being raped and killed, each and every single hour in every single day.

That's a pretty GD bad alternative.

Yes, but removal of the testicales would prevent the body from producing testostorone. Therefor, one would have no sex drive at all.

There is only one real cure and thats Fire. If you want to put them on an island and let them live out their lives is peace thats fine. But any escapes should result in termination of life.

Surely you realize that this idea won't work? It would be about 2 days before criminal elements from the mainland would be in fat business, smuggling people, drugs, and whatever on/off the island?

OK- I have a real problem, here. IF someone damages a child, then I have NO PROBLEM, with killing them. What I have a problem with, is sentencing someone to 10 years- then, holding them, for life. I would NOT OBJECT, if they had BEEN SENTENCED FOR LIFE, at first. Extending a sentence, like this- is simply UnConstitutional.
Yes- the idea of "holding indefinately" "sex-offenders", started here in Wa Snake. (The Peoples Democratic Republic of).
Raping a child? SHOULD MERIT life in prison, if not death. But- I believe in THE LAW- especially, the Constitution.

"Chemical Castration", provides NO PUNISHMENT- and, well, AVOIDING an injection?? Lets not be silly- Prisons are THE MOST corrupt place in America- with the possible exception, of the courts.

There is something that bothers me about this, putting people on an island off the coast of California and just letting them have at it so they can build a society free of the hassles and hardships of modern life seems more like a reward than a punishment. Plenty of victims doing in tough on the street... a lot of them don't even have a warm bed.

Execute them. It is cheaper and gets rid of the problem.
