Here we go! A basic article (Actually, a six-part series of articles linked together) that discusses the (dis)advantages (?) of genetic
engineering.
slate.msn.com...
Note that, at this time, being able to alter the genetic codes of an human who has already been *born* to such an extent is still impossible...There
are too many different *types* of specialized cells in an already-developed human body. This is why the article mentions "germline engineering", the
genetic alteration of the first few cells to develop after conception.
