Another earthquake at Katla this morning, centre of the caldera, highest altitude

New swarm activity in the Eyjafjallajokull region with a total of 28 EQ's as of 10:48 EST, with a couple of those now being under Katla. This link takes you to the map showing the swarm, and towards the top there is a tab that lets you look at the table list of EQ's showing more information like depth and intensity.

While the 46 EQ's so far today are impressive for the area around Eyjafjallajökull:

It's the line of EQ's between Eyjafjallajökull and Katla that bothers me:

Ive seen in the past few days, earthquakes all over katla, including a recent one this morning, 3 in the same spot the other day, dnno man, seem's kinda.... active.

The EQ you mention is right in the middle of Katla. I have seen most of the recent EQ's, and I don't quite remember seeing one so centered.

And I still think that the progression of EQ activity towards Katla looks like magma moving in that direction. Maybe a 'larger' sized lava tube?

Looks like it is rather sooner than later going the get very serious.

Looks like Katla warming up 3 quakes in quick succession this morning and another a few minutes ago.
