Honestly I've been a Windows user for years, and Windows does have a lot of problems but I STILL prefer it to Apple. Win7 did indeed take quite a few
design ideas from Apple because Apple is much sleeker and more aesthetically pleasing. As far as functionality and price go, Windows is a clear win.
XP is the best OS they've put out in my opinion, with Win7 behind that. With Windows machines you have a lot more control and a lot more options. I
can build a complete system myself from scratch then put Windows (or Linux) on it and not have any problems. Can't do that with an Apple system.
Also, in my experience working for a year and a half as an auxillary IT person at a local metrology lab, and in my own 12 or so years of computer use,
it seems that the only people who have trouble with Windows machines are either people who learned on Macs and are having trouble switching over or
people who aren't very fluent with computers.
