Hi all,

I found underwater video of the leak after the siphon was inserted. To me it looks worst than before, not better.

These take awhile to load, but are very high quality.

How did this thread die? This thread should be active as this is a huge disaster! I have S&F this thread and hope others will. These oil threads shouldn't get buried.

This thread ain't dead, and I watched the 60min link that you posted. Much info and I processed it. Seems like the survivor was destined to make that interview, despite the odds. More to say later when I get caught up. THX!!!

Other thing i don't get is why the previous images clearly show an arm of the spill going into the loop, i don't see in the image i posted above... Someone?

Those are 1km per pixel, if you want higher res select 250m, it'll take a pretty long while to load but those have amazing res.

so what you people thinks?

I believe the red/brown is oil, but sometimes the shallow water changes the color and can be hard to tell the difference.

I just looked over at the blog on SkyTruth.. check this out.. it is huge and there is no doubt what is outlined is oil! And this is 2 days ago!

This is proof that there is oil you can't see from the satellite images and is why I think that the spill area is a lot bigger than it may seem.

Holy crap, so now "Just Wondering" can leave. There is photographic evidence of oil that made it to land. Oh wait, it's not a sandy beach and there is no 'proof' that it's not like Australia or something.

I see your sarcasm and I agree, I hope all dis-infos retreat to their little hermit crab holes to be soaked with incoming heavy crude..

The oil is hitting something much more important than white sandy beaches, it's hitting the wetlands that spawn the most important fisheries in the U.S. And affecting the whole balance of life in the Gulf of Mexico.
The balance of life in the oceans is directly tied to the balance of life on land. Guess where we live?

It has been a month and it is still leaking. This really makes me angry and sad. There is NO excuse for not having this capped by now. BP has only tried a couple of solutions and if they don't have the person power to get things done, then the government should step in and get this leak stopped!
