I'm going to take it one step FURTHER and propose this is the Rapture.

All the "bad" boys and girls are relegated to fantasy Earth and replaced in real world with other "souls" or "controllers" ... and all the "good" boys and girls get to stay on real Earth.

Of course by bad I mean dissenters and anti-globalists or something... And good = easily manipulated and distracted

Let's think of it this way too... if they are writing in articles that they are capable of this and doing it... what are they capable of doing with this behind the scenes and not telling us?? Think about our Air Force and the way they deal with spy planes... we're always 25-50 years ahead in the military sector than in the public sector. So, what did the DoD really get for its money?
