I do see why the term "revolution" ultimately invokes violent means. Personally, I think the best way to revolt would be to hit the American
government where it really hurts: Their pocketbooks.
The government is like a hydra, cut one head off, and another will appear. The politicians are expendable, but their greed, their money, is the way to
hurt them.
But if you mean violence, then we would lose. Hands down. We were supposed to be protected, by the right to bear arms. But the people that penned that
ammendment, had no concept of the capitilist empire that lied ahead in time.
You would also have to assume that you could rally people. You cant even get people to get off the couch...away from the tv or computer, long enough
to improve their own lives. You cant tell me that you can rally people to fight, when they wont even exercise to improve their condition of living. A
good portion of this country is obese, a larger portion is overweight. Try motivating someone that cant motivate theirselves.
Revolt? Ha.
There will be no revolt as long as the people are distracted. Most people can tell you what happened last week on Bravo's Top Chef or Real
Housewives....but they cant tell you anything about mandated healthcare, or the patriot act, or racial profiling etc..etc......you know, they rights
that disappear EVERYDAY.
The death of the electric car. People believe that electric cars cannot exist and gasoline is the only way, yet my 80GB mp3 player is as big as my
wallet. People dont CARE.
No, we worry about our hair, and ipads, our nails, our clothes, our car, our status, our damn FACEBOOK account. Our sports teams, our beer, our
distractions distractions distractions.
We cant get people to care about the planet that we live on. We cant get them to care about themselves. we cant get them to care for each other. We
cant get them to care for other animals.
Get them to care about revolution? Good luck
