Military vehicles on Chicago railroad, page 1

A long chain of rail cars contained two sets of these military-type vehicles. There were about 20 in each set, equaling to 40 total. Spotted at 4pm today.

What are they?

Those are HUMVEES, either new or newly uparmored, probly headed to a military base somewhere in the US.

Great shot! It was probably less expensive and much less concerning for witness's to send them by rail.

Plus they want them in perfect condition when they get deployed.

Just a guess.

Yes they are Humvees, but if you look at the color they have all been made with, it does look military and set for the desert.

Hope they are armored and safer than the last shipments...

A majority of military have that desert color painted on them. Its nothing big its not the NEW WORLD ORDER or anything. I would only be worried if there were armed guards next to them

If you look at the enlarged picture of it, there are obvious signs of deterioration. I see rust around the panel edges.

They are probably heading to be refurbished.

I think there setting up for the National Guards to patrol the streets of Chicago. The Governor requested that.

They were heading towards the downtown Chicago direction, going North. This is the first time I've posted a pic on ATS. I took the picture with my cell phone. pretty good quality for the small thing lol.
