Oh give me a break with the sensationalism. Being a hero is subjective, being a father is not. In my opinion he was a being a father more than anything. That's not saying I don't think what he did wasn't heroic, but IMHO being a "hero" would entail him knowing a danger going in and still trying to save his kid despite putting himself in harms way. In this case it was split-second instinct, plain and simple. Yes his actions were heroic but I can't separate the fact that he's a father protecting his son.
