Pentagon policy makers have said they would consider a military response if the US were attacked by cyber criminals.

US defense officials have said they believe hostile acts in cyberspace will eventually occur with greater frequency and sophistication.

So they do a trace route, lock on to the originating source, and baddah boom. Seems like an easy way to get somebody else blown up. A hack that originated from Russia, but seemingly originated from ohhhh let's say Iran. Oooops! I hope they're sure before they decide to blow stuff up.
