BP knew of problems hours before blast

BP knew of problems with an offshore well hours before it exploded last month, spilling millions of gallons of oil into the Gulf of Mexico, a House committee chairman said Wednesday

Does this really surprise anyone? BP putting profits above human and enviromental safety. Im sure they thought no one would notice and that it would function just find and no one would be the wider. BOY were they wrong. I hope they pay for this in every way possible.
The Minerals Management Service, the federal agency that regulates offshore drilling, has also come under fire in the wake of the spill.

The Minerals Management Service, the federal agency that regulates offshore drilling, has also come under fire in the wake of the spill.

On Tuesday, senators wanted to know why there weren't other back-up systems in place to stop a leak besides the blowout preventer, and questioned why the blowout preventer may not have been able to cut through thicker sections of pipe to pinch it shut and stop a leak. Lawmakers also questioned the agency's relationship with the oil industry, which some have described as cozy.
The Obama administration announced plans Tuesday to split the agency in two, thus removing an apparent conflict of interest between the drive to maximize oil production and efforts to ensure safety, which could slow drilling down.

Glad to see Obamas going to cut them in half. Hopefully cutting the head of the snake will kill the body. Its great to know that both BP and the commitee in charge of this was together with each other.

I'm pretty sure this whole thing was rigged, and it was no accident.

What if Halliburton was down there cementing the whole and tampered with the blow out preventer rendering it inoperable? The first pic of the ROV at the BOP shows a valve handle missing.

Then there's the question of the odd burnt hole in the helicopter pad in the original pics, suggesting something explosive was dropped on top of it.

Coast guard came out and said there was no leak. Coast Guard poured tons of water on a fuel fire and possibly sunk the rig, hiding the evidence.

Lack of video of spill, and surpession of information since the get go. No, I think this whole thing was set up.

The why, is what concerns me.

I know it is wrong to judge lacking evidence, but the moment I heard Haliburton was involved in some way.... I know... that's just wrong...
