ScienceDaily (May 12, 2010) — A team of scientists from Columbia University, Arizona State University, the University of Michigan, and the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) have programmed an autonomous molecular "robot" made out of DNA to start, move, turn, and stop while following a DNA track.
Although other DNA walkers have been developed before, they've never ventured farther than about three steps. "This one," says Yan, "can walk up to about 100 nanometers. That's roughly 50 steps.

Imagine the next 50 years.
nano technology is one of the most important fields today... it could have the power to cure all diseases we have today including HIV/AIDS, Cancer, Sickle cell, and more.
I am sure microwave ovens were considered dangerous and there were many people who thought they should be better regulated becuase of the off chance someone could turn it on with the door open and then be standing in front of it long enough to be hurt but hey i see almost everyone in america has one.
