I can relate.

I read a lot of uplifting spiritual sites and then coming here is quite depressing sometimes.

There are times I stay away, but with all the excitement building up, I have to keep up on the latest and greatest catastophe.

You just gotta have discernment with anything you read anywhere.
Most of all the Bible!! Boy did they do a number on that book.

I can only suggest that while seeking the Grail can be seen as a noble and worthy cause, many more find madness than the Grail, itself. It there's any key to it, I suppose it would be found with the story of the Fisher King. Remember that it's more important to have simple human compassion than a single-minded drive to get what you want.
