I've been studying Tai Chi Chuan for a few decades now and have developed a good sense of Chi (the energy has a light vibration). Chi has been extensively studied and used for healing in traditional Chinese medicine, and called by other names around the world, for centuries. That said, it seems to have no effect on this gout.

I have always healed quickly, so I believed that channeling Chi was a part of that process. But this gout keeps returning--many know it's the cause the worst pain on earth. So as I sit here with my foot elevated yet again, and after making all the necessary dietary changes, and not wanting the negative side affects of the extremely limited American non-solutions, I wonder about paranormal healing.

Is paranormal healing just the channeling of energy? Is there something I'm missing that is making it and normal healing ineffective? Seriously, this has been going on for years, with no let up during the past five months. Please don't say, "Go to a doctor" because they got nothing for me long term.

I'm not talking about positive visualizations although they may help. My old Tai Chi teacher knew how to deal with this kind of thing, but he's been dead for awhile. There has to be a missing link between raw energy and actual healing. I know what that feels like, but it's just not working.

This really does seem like a curse... more than just getting older. I'm interested in effective paranormal healing, nature ain't doing it, so this is a serious question with nothing hypothetical about it. There has to be a way to heal this kind of thing, for good.

Thanks if you know...

It is my understanding that gout is usually formed from lifestyle choices.

Drinking alcohol, eating confectionary and consuming large quantities of seafood all help bring the uric acid level within the blood which causes joint pains, aches and other factors in the prognosis of gout.

Also having little cariovasular excersise every day can also bring this about.

Tai Chi, if done properly, would aid in the prevention of gout-like symptoms. If unsupervised armchair Tai Chi is your form of fitness then it may be related to an improper workout of your body resulting in your ailment.

My advise would be to try to eat and drink more healthily, take a stroll of at least 2 miles at least once a day and change your posture whilst at your computer.

I hope you feel better soon as people underestimate their health until they no longer have it and only then fully appreciate it.

I'm hoping your implementing the water cure. Beyond that I'm afraid we're stuck with our karma. But some things that might help are not trying too hard. Sometimes we're actually clinging to the illness for emotional reasons. From a karmic point of view we mostly get what we want. Thought we might not want to admit it. I believe our physical body is a factory to provide us with the karmic state we need and want.

On the energy subject - my experience is that healing energy is an opportunity that we sometimes are ready for and other times aren't and end up wasting. Force is not a real solution. If one has a miraculous cure. It is either because we are ready to shed the previous condition (karma) and we're only living it out of habit. Or, the miraculous cure doesn't stick. Or it sticks because the karma, though unfinished, is pushed back on the queue and will be faced later or in some cases faced differently.

The was an excellent video interview on Project Camelot with a Deloris Cannon who is apparently very effective at getting to the bottom of the emotional stack. projectcamelotproductions.com...

Sorry to hear of your pain, but I believe since you already have an awareness for Chi, you might better benefit from an energy system specialist that practices Jin Shin Do a style of acupressure that borrows from various systems, Chinese, Japanese and Indian, to correct any flow or blockage problems.
I agree with GSVSS in that healthy diet and exercise would make a difference. Even if you eat good, I believe cardio does overall wonders for the body/mind! I have a friend that has bouts of gout and he used to live a somewhat sedentary lifestyle as well as love the homebrews. He started avidly hiking every other day and hasn't had a spell in 3 years.

As far as Chi and it's healing potential, to me it is a conducive bioelectrical stimulation that can increase and decrease temperature as well. I always share the Johnny Chang vid on this subject because to me, it is strong evidence of Chi manipulation.

I hope things take a turn for the better, Peace

I'm doing eight glasses a day as recommended by the cleansing program I started about a month ago. Is there something more to that?

I gave up alcohol about three months ago. Gave up coffee last week. Still drink tea and switching from black to green gradually. Low purine diet...

Hiking was a regular ritual(many miles), but I can barely walk now.

I'm going to watch those videos and agree with karma and emotional issues being factors. Not arm chair Tai Chi, my teacher was one of the best. He's not around now when I really need him--acupuncture etc.

I wonder if a technique I never learned could make Chi more effective for this? Some kind of Chi manipulation... I don't know, I'll try anything at this point.

Yeah maybe I shouldn't try so hard, but I got plenty time to experiment if there is something I haven't tried.

Thanks.

"His technique is a carfully guarded secret."

That's the kind of thing that just might work.

My bad, I wasn't trying to be coy with the secretiveness of Chang, I just thought it was a good fire retardant for those that may come along to flame the chi notion. I have 2 friends in the massage therapy business and they really encourage a Jin Shin Do session.
Best wishes.....

That's very true. Also people do not realize how bad pain can get until it gets worse than they ever imagined. And for this extreme pain to keep returning until one is crippled by it. That kind of pain changes everything.

I watched that last night. I agreed with some of it and could not accept some of it, but overall it was very interesting. Thanks! She reminds me of Lynn Grabhorn who wrote Planet Two. I'm not expecting a miracle cure; more of a secret method I never learned. I guess it was a long shot to think someone would know it and tell it over the Internet.
