I was reading some material for my business course and I ran across a case study mentioning the Disclosure Project and Dr Steven Greer. The case study had us pretend that we were owners of a small airport and Dr. Greer wished to have a free access public event on UFO disclosure at our airport.
The purpouse of the case study was to inform Dr. Greer that holding the event was not possible because people would refer to us as the "Kooks in hanger 5". The interesting thing is that the business book did not try to down play the UFO disclosure at all or Dr. Greer, but just try to empathize how it could hurt business.
Why is this important? The same case study was in my wife's book from a different school and different class. This kind of aims to get more people from professional backround's feet wet in accepting the fact that UFO's, whether alien or earthly, do exist.
We all know how it works. When I was growing up, I remember constant debates on existance of UFO's, aliens, etc. Most people I knew were againts. Slowly, as I got older, more and more people are cited as saying, "Ok, I believe in the possibility, but just not the plausability of a chance encounter."
Now, if the skies fill up with flyng saucers, people will be initially amazed, and then they may say, " That's right, I remember hearing about this in my business class."
It was nice to see this subject in an international business course and not have it completely ridiculed.
